Ok. Is it working for anyone on iOS?
Rowyco - who can I escalate this to? It appears on iOS the forum is no longer returned in the search results within the app. As you and others have mentioned Android seems to be fine.

What device are you using? And also what Os?

Is anyone still able to access this forum via tapatalk? I recently had to uninstall and reinstall the app and can no longer find this forum in tapatalk.

Hi Skepti,
Yes i'm sure. Im not far by MRT but away from Sukh. Personally whilst I like how close Sukh is to the action it's seedy as hell and so I want to try stay elsewhere. I stayed not far from Suthissan once, literally opposite Posidedon but I was with a girl so didn't need to worry about if the hotel was girl friendly or now. I quite like Huay Kwang area, lots of street food stalls and a nice market too in the evenings.
THe other place i'm looking at is the Grande Centre Point Ratchadamri Siam. Have dropped them a mail but Ratchada is my preference.

I would like to try stay either by the river or in Ratchada next time but am having trouble trying to find a sutiable hotel (which is GF obviously). Anyone ever stayed in these areas? Essentially I want to not be staying right in the middle of all the nightlife. Leaning towards Ratchada as it's near some soapies which I don't mind.
I found 1 site BKK guest friendly hotels but not sure how up to date it is. One they suggested was the Emerald Hotel and on emailing them they confirmed a 500bt charge for a joiner. I've emailed a few others too. The Mini Hotel, Palazzo Bangkok, Hip-Bangkok and Cha Da hotel.
Does anyone have any experience with these hotels or others in the area? How about by Riverside or some other areas?
Thanks

Maybe just get a resident BM to take you all around rather than one of these groups.

There is a uni there plus some karaoke joints.

Sweet
Nice avatar. I love that movie.

I've had karmagra a few times. Usually for emergency if I'm too drunk and it's done the trick. Not even a whole pill, maybe a quarter at a time.
Under the same circumstances how does sideagra perform?

Thanks all. I was going to go for Phachara suites but I plan to meet a few non P4P girls so would rather I'm not actually on soi 4. Went for Majestic Grande in the end and got a good dead.

I've never had any problems with street food. Touch wood it stays that way. I'm not a big seafood fan so maybe that helps. Can't help but think how long all those cockles and other sea foods have been lying out.

Aside from the naughty kind I love getting a Thai or foot massage during the day after a long session laying out on the beach. With Thai massages I've found these are usually in a booth but with the foot massages I've found these are in a room with a bunch of others. I don't really mind this format as I'm not planning on getting naughty and I can also shoot the shit with my a fellow monger.

Cancelled my booking at Grande Centre Point. Decided to move to somewhere closer to Nana so trying to decide where to go. My range is in the 2-3.5k per night.
Which would you choose between Phachara suites or Majestic Grande? Also considering soi 11 so maybe President Palace.
I stayed at Amari on soi 2 a few years ago. Think that's now called Lohas suites. Anyone know if they are still girl friendly? I liked the rooms there but it was a bit of a walk up soi 2.

I'll be there starting January 20-31, I'm staying in an apartment I rented through AirBNB. Right at Terminal 21.
I'm always open to wingman as I don't drink and can keep you out of trouble if required.
Let's sort something out mate. I arrive on the 24th. Staying not far from Cowboy.

Not sure about T21 but you can find plenty of that stuff on soi Arab. Walk towards Nana.

liquor bottles are generally pretty tough, drop an empty one sometime. I've seen them bounce off tile from 3-4 feet.
I'm going to bubble wrap the box just in case. 555

I would ask in the northern Thailand section over on Thai visa.

Whilst we are talking booze I've promised a bar boss I would bring him back a bottle of tequila. I've checked online and couldn't find any decent tequila listed on the airport website. (I need anejo) If I box it up and wrap it in bubble wrap will I be ok to put it in my checked luggage?

I've booked 9 days at Grande Centre Point t21. My booking is a bit disjointed though. I have first 2 nights booked as individual via Agoda in a deluxe room then 7 nights in a superior. Basically i rejigged my stay and waan able to extend the main booking through Agoda so had to make a separate booking. Do you think they will let me upgrade my 7 night stay to deluxe and stay in same room throughout?

Don't worry guys. This tech will help stop criminals and other unsavoury sorts getting into the country.

Let's say he sells a few of them and another chap opens up who doesn't follow the same model. That's surely a good thing no?
-
This probably isn't the right thread for this but I read in today's stickman article that 2 of the Arabs bars may be soon up for sale. If that's true then so much for him buying up the whole soi and redeveloping.

Tapatalk seems to crash if I try to edit the above. Anyway the other pics are the hell garden at wat muang, Buddhamonthon park and the giant Ganesh. Wat pai rong wua is also pretty cool, tonnes of really big Buddha statues.
What other areas to stay in aside from Sukhumvit and Patpong?
