After thinking long and hard(Yes...my head hurts!),and extensive research on other forums,I've come to the conclusion that the best way to go is to take the airport link to Makkasan, and get a taxi from there to Asoke(Where the condo.where I'm staying is).
On the taxi side you save the 50baht airport surcharge and don't have to pay the hi-way tolls. From Makkasan to Sukhumvit ,it's only a 5 minute taxi ride.
Taking your luggage to the airport link is the same distance(If not closer)as going to the taxi stand.
No problems with airport taxi drivers, either!
Food for thought

Tell your travel agent "flight only, please"
Check the price direct

And check on-line with someone like Agoda

The Hilton Disco gets going after midnight, when all the girls have finished at the bars and come looking for a late night hook up.
Bintabaht is the main bargirl strip, but there are several bars on Poolsuk.
You'll probably find Hua Hin is a bit cheaper too.A cheaper bar fine and the girls will usually go 1,000baht long time(+tip, nah!)
Great seafood at the nightmarket.
Enjoy!

I'll definitely use this next time for Hua Hin.

I've always gone the taxi route, and the cheapest I've ever got was 1,600baht.And lately it's been in the 1,800~2,000baht range.
Score!

I'd advise getting two vouchers for 900 baht(400baht each+100baht postage)
those plus your taxi each way from the taxi stand/your hotel, will be the same price as only a one trip with VIP meet and limo one way.
smooth in ,smooth out.

In BKK from April 28th to May 5th.

I've used a couple of the Fasttrack companies before, and have often thought that all I need is the Fasttrack coupon/voucher.I know where immigration is,I know where the baggage carousel is,I know where the taxi stand is.....
So,I went online and did a bit of a search and found a guy who is selling them online.
400baht for one coupon, plus 100baht for registered postage with tracking number(100baht for any quantity).Pay by PayPal or Credit card.Mine came through after 5 days.
http://fasttrackcoup...category-0.html
There's even a map on the back showing where the fasttrack lane is.
The great thing about this is that after getting off the plane and arriving at immigration, you can have a peak at the immigration lines. If they're busy you can go to the fasttrack lane and use your coupon,or if the lines at normal immigration are short, you can just go through and save your coupon for the next time(win win situation).
Here's a photo of the one I received:

I would like to use the SARL service to get to BKK. I am staying near the Chit Lom BTS. I was thinking of getting a cab to either Makkasan or Phaya Thai SARL stations. Does anyone know if either of these stations have escalators or lifts from street level? The reason I ask is that I will have two suitcases and hand luggage and dont fancy carrying them up the steps.
Thanks
Paul
I think with 2 suitcases and hand luggage, you'll be better taking a taxi direct to your hotel front door.
Remember, you'll still have to hump your gear to your place, after you get off at Chit Lom BTS.
Start your vacation with less stress, too

I can't believe the price of tickets on the official website
http://www.muaythailumpini.com/FAQ.html
This gives better info.

When I went I paid 400 baht at the ticket window.Touts were offering 2000 baht tickets for ringside, but I just walked past them up to the ticket booth and paid for a 400 baht ticket.

if you want location , the NANA HOTEL is the place to stay, it cost alittle more but it great place for picking up gorls and taking them back to your room fast. great staff, free buffet, you don't even have to leave the hotel parking lot to find some great freelance girls all day and night, plus they have a great pool.
The Nana hotel parking lot is THE freelancer "Central".Good prices to be had.!

It seems that Som(ex Star of Light legend) has opened a Blow job bar right next to Suda

Grand President for me.Great location and great rooms, especially the suites.
The only other one I'd recommend is Royal President(sister hotel to the Grand president).A bit nearer Cowboy.
-
ChinaTown.Take the MRT from Asoke to Hualamphong(spelling?),and walk down Yaworat Road.Enjoy the sights sounds and smells.
Go once during the day,and once at night.Completely different.

I got them from a pharmacy near soi 4.
Turn left going out of soi 4.Go past the petrol station 30 yards, and you'll see 2 pharmacies on the left. The second one(the larger one) is where I got the gels.
400baht for five(assorted flavours!!).Can't go wrong.

Have to say I prefer Agoda. You can pay by PayPal too.Which means your credit card is secure, less chance of being phished.
Agoda is without doubt 9 times out of ten cheaper than booking with the hotel direct, but it's worth checking with the hotel website as they'll sometimes have a special promotion/early bird special which will be even cheaper than Agoda.
