If you had to choose between one of the grand president suite rooms or president palace which would go for? Are there any decent hotels on soi 11 with a jacuzzi?
Never stayed at the President Palace, but luv the suite rooms at the Grand President.
Their sister hotel on soi 11 too,President Solitaire, has suites with a jacuzzi bathtub.

I have been staying at The Grand President for the past few years, but before that I stayed at The Royal President several times.100% girl friendly no joiner fee.

Do i have to fill in my name and flight number on the pass? I think i am gonna try this one...last time i pay 1200 for 1 pass with other company ..
so i think is a good deal !!
thx Mike
Yeah, just write in your name and flight number.
It's good to have ,especially if your dashing to get to the "Action".Or even for the return journey so your not lining up for ages at immigration for your flight home :(
-
Qatar Airways will send your luggage all the way to Phuket AND will issue you with a boarding pass for the BKK-Phuket flight.
http://www.bangkokair.com/eng/pages/view/check-in-through
You just need to walk to the domestic transfer immigration counter(Follow the signs) go through a customs check, then go to the Bangkok Airways lounge(They have one for economy passengers) soft drinks, snacks, and free wi-fi,and wait for your flight.
With a 3 hour wait between flights, you've got stacks of time.

I think I might need next time. I land in Bkk at 0700 and I have an internal flight to catch from Bkk to Phuket. Can these guys get me through immigration so that I can check in for my next flight?
Kop :)
If you are leaving from Suvarnabhumi you won't need it.(Unless your flights from Don Muaeng).
You DON'T have to pick up your baggage go through the main immigration ,go up to departure level and check-in for your Phuket flight
You will just do an international to domestic transfer.Depending on your airline, you should be able to get all your boarding passes(including the one to Phuket) when you check in at the beginning of your journey. If the airline you're flying with can't give you your BKK-Phuket boarding pass, they will be able to to have your baggage ticketed/sent all the way through to Phuket.
All you have to then is to,after disembarking the plane at BKK, go straight along the arrivals concourse to the International to domestic transfer area, and get a boarding pass from one of the transfer desks there.
http://suvarnabhumiairport.com/en/224-from-international-to-domestic
No need to go through the main immigration area.
All depends on which airline you're flying with,as to whether or nor not you can get all your boarding passes,or if you just have to pick up one for your BKK-HKT at the transfer desk.
How much time do you have between the flights, and which airlines are you flying with?

To tell you the truth, my stay at the ambassador was not bad at all. If you stay in the Tower you get free WiFi and the maids do a pretty good job, I think the horror stories are from the people who stayed in the old standard main wing. As for the guest friendly question, from my experience it is a guest friendly hotel, just make sure when you book your room it's for 2 max adults. Also, just an FYI the guard or man that collects ID's/Passports of your guest will ask for a tip. So I told him to never eat yellow snow, jk... I tipped him 100bhat and he was happy with that.
Nice one .Thanks for letting us know how you got on.
Glad it turned out well for you.
Trip report,please!!!!!!

I've never stayed at the Star Inn,but it seems a lot like The World Inn,where I stayed one night before flying out to Vietnam the next day.It was alright just for one night of mongering, but I'd give The World Inn a miss
From the reviews I've seen, Maxims does look the better option of the three in that area

March 29th-April 7th in LOS
Tentatively 6 nights (29th-4th) in Pattaya, 3 in Bangkok (5th-7th) but might change that.
Usually stay at the Areca Lodge when in Pattaya but might try something new (Page10?).
Usually stay at Majestic Suites when in Bangkok but might try something new (S15?)
(not double-posting in March roll call, as I think will only be in Pattaya those two days... if I decide to do a couple of days in Bangkok on each end rather than mostly Pattaya will post there later.)
Have a good one!!!
Looking forward to another of your CP massage reviews :)
Godspeed

I was impressed with the lobby at the Ambassador and disappointed with the rooms.
I was with a Thai gf at the time ,so I can't comment about it being guest friendly.
I guess you're going in April,so if I were you I'd cancel the Ambassador booking,if you can without any loss of money, and re-book somewhere else on soi 11.There's stacks to choose from and much better quality.Plus less worry knowing you're going into a guest friendly hotel.
Just my 2 satang
p.s.
Whatever happens, please let us know how you got on

This might help, especially those about to ask that age-old question "Is ...Hotel guest friendly?
For others it might help as a price comparison guide against Agoda, and other hotel websites.
