Seems a lot for a 3 star hotel in need of a major update

I stayed at The Citrus Suites last visit and really liked it. It’s a 4 star hotel and feels it.
The one I stayed in was in between Soi 4 & 6 and just a few mins walk from Nana Plaza. Booked the biggest room I could - the Grand Suite - which was massive 60sqm separate lounge / kitchen and bath & shower and big comfy king size bed. The girls were impressed! All for less than £80 a night (US$100?) which included breakfast. Also has a rooftop pool.
Completely girl friendly and most importantly the WiFi was probably the fastest I’ve ever seen in BKK!

Looks like I’ve a work trip to Singapore finishing on 18th May so current plan is to fly to Phnom Penh on 19th for 2 nights (first time to Cambodia) and then BKK for 3 nights from 21st. It’s actually my birthday on 22nd May so it could work our well ????

From the main airport I always get the train. It’s quicker cheaper & I make sure I stay at a hotel within walking distance of Nana or Asok.

You’ll be fine trust me. I struggle with chopsticks as well and even in China I’ve found getting a fork or spoon is fine so I can’t imagine BKK not accommodating!

You're visiting again in April? which room do you usually stay in? or you really dont care because all the rooms are fine?
Yes there next month but staying at a different hotel this time like to mix it up a bit. Usually just go for the standard room as it is nice enough but have had a couple of upgrades. For around 4000B a night it’s fine. Can’t fault the location or girl friendliness prob the best of both in BKK!

The Landmark is nice & easy just walk straight in no joiners fee no need for girl to hand ID to reception etc pool is nice too

They most likely will close at midnight they did last month when I was there for the public holiday.....

I’ve stayed here before and it was fine. As it is so cheap I would recommend paying for the ‘double delux room’ which is 39sqm and still under 2500B a night.

Just stayed at the Landmark for 2 nights & got upgraded to a premium room which was MASSIVE. Best still I cashed in reward points so only paid £50 for what was probably a £300 booking

If you want to save money, take a shared van from the airport. They stop midway to Patong at a tour office to find out the name of your hotel and try to sell you a tour but it only takes a few minutes. Then they drop you right at your hotel.
On the way back to the airport, I had my hotel arrange a driver. Didn't cost much.
Yes when I went to Patong we did the shared minibus from the airport and ordered a Grab back. Can’t remember costs but do remember at the time thinking it was reasonable.

The Landmark is about 100 euro? I’ve always found it under GBP100 a night although I usually cash in reward points and get free nights anyway

Craft is very expensive I went there once and from memory I struggled to find a beer for under 300B. They had a good selection of ales though but mainly very high % ones like 7-8% when for me I like a good old fashioned 4% pale ale.

Is the fast track worth it?! The last few times I’ve been to BKK the immigration queue hasn’t been so bad and I’ve got through before my luggage....

Levels Club & Lounge is a pretty good one if you like EDM. Its a mix of tourist and Thais. Obviously not all girls are FL's, but I'm sure you know how to spot them.
Or more likely they know how to spot you.....

Yep. Shanghai event now from Saturday 27th Oct so landing in BKK on Monday for 4 nights of fun first

Just went to a pharmacy on Soi 4 and enquired about cialis. She offered be a box of 4 cialis (tadalafil 20mg) which is supposed to last 72hrs but wanted 1970B which seemed steep so I declined. Is that the going rate here? Are those pills worth the money?
