Was this one of those prepaid deals? I never liked them and always stayed away from any prepaid rooms. I noticed in recent years there are a lot more of these prepaid rooms on these sites.

I can't say that I have. I'v only used asiatravel and asiarooms in the past. I had no problems with either one. I did just google that site and found some people give reviews of it on tripadvisor. The people there claimed to have had no problems. Let us know how it goes, if you decide to book with them.

The Ever Rich Inn isn't bad, but you might get some noise. If you have a room in the front, sometimes you hear what is going on outside at night. Especially, if the roaming guys with guitars decide to play there and get people to sing along. However, I only ever had that problem once. How much are you looking to spend a night on a room?

I'm just curious as to what book(s) everyone is using to learn the language. I'm pretty sure most will say the Benjawan Poomsan Becker's books. I use them as well and find them to be quite good. I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on a good book.

I think your wife is referring to the Bobae Market. Its a large garment wholesale center in BKK.

They had a sign posted outside for that deal. I'm not sure, if they still have it or not. I would just call the hotel directly and ask them for a discount. I can't say for sure, but my guess would be its the middle rooms with no windows.
