poiuy109
I've been going through peoples post about their hotel preferences and I'm kinda overwhelmed by the choices to be honest. So I wanted to get everyone's opinion on their top 3 hotel choices in 2023? I'm looking into hotels that are actually nice and don't mind paying a little higher than some of the "run down" hotels I've read about here. They gave me a corner room on the 25th floor. I liked the bathtub, you could watch tv while in the tub and there was an extra speaker (like at the JW) Next door to Thermae breakfast buffet was fantastic Room Service, Khao Soi with Boston Lobster Brought my own whisky Afternoon tea in the lobby Rooftop restaurant This was November 2021, so room rate was 1720, including breakfast.
poiuy109
Those pictures are amazing! 1720 baht? That's an amazing price. I just looked it up on their website and its around 235 USD per night.

Do you mostly book directly with the hotel or other agencies/websites. And is there a big price difference booking it in person vs online before hand. Rates were rock bottom because there were no international flights.
hansenlarsdk1
The Sofitel is great. Booking at the hotel in person will be the most expensive option. I would always book direct online with Accor (Sofitel is part of "Accor" hotel group). Sign up for Accor's member program (It called Accor Live Limitless - really stupid name), and you get extra rebate. (plus you can earn hotel points or airline miles for the stay). Normally, you can also get 15% cashback from Qudico or Topcashback or similar sites. If a 3rd party site has a better rate, Accor will match it (and give a further rebate). From time to is also a special "MasterCard" or "Visa"-rebate (or other promotions, its hard to keep track) - normally 20%+ off - sometimes with free breakfest - they come and go. I got 20% from a "MasterCard rate" on my last stay - no special card needed, i'm not sure you even needed a MasterCard. Just goolge "Accor Thailand offers 2023". New onc seems to pop up every month. n10556
Tagging on from this thread, has anyone stayed at Okura Prestige? Thinking of visiting in September for a few nights!
Wilson5206
I enjoy the bed the most at Sofitel, but the prices have gone up juristically and doesn't give me value anymore. For the same price, you can go literally next door to my go-to hotel, Grand Centre Pointe above Terminal 21, get the grand suite for a lower but similar price. And the room size is double of the Sofitel.
