Hotel in Sukhumvit with a good city view

Recommended Posts

Here are some places I've stayed where I'd recommend the view.

Hyatt Regency has been mentioned

Personally, I prefer the Sofitel, which also has a rooftop bar.  They gave me a corner room on the 25th floor

Not a great view at JW Mariott, but at least you can see Nana Plaza.

There are better views on the Riverside IMHO, and it's just a BTS ride from Saphan Taksin station. For example, the Royal Orchid Sheraton, but I should have gotten a room on the east side to see the nightly fountain show at IconSiam mall across the river.  Unfortunately, there are no balconies.

The Lebua has a Michelin starred restaurant on the 64th floor.

More towards Patpong is the Banyan Tree.

Radisson Blu at Suk 23 (IIRC, anyway around there) has a craft beer and cider bar on the roof with a good view, at least they did in 2019.

I am out of Radisson points now due to their split programs and the merger and all that and I am now staying at Sheraton Grande Suk, but the Blu was a good deal, had a club floor with free breakfast and cocktail hour and you can go up to the rooftop bar without staying there.

i haven't stayed in a hotel there but i very much endorse the taller hotels by the riverside.

when i first moved here i lived in a condo by the river, 23rd floor. hotels tended to have fireworks when a customer has a birthday party there, so my nightly ritual was to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine, and enjoy the fireworks.

i'm also biased in that i'm inordinately fond of nautical stuff so seeing the barges go by was also enjoyable AF to me.

The Sheraton on by the river has one of the best views in the city, IMHO.

I got a room on the same side as you with that iconic view of the Chao Praya curving round.

And I loved watching the comings and goings on the river. It was insanely relaxing for me. I can't remember the last view that had that effect on me

Good breakfast too.
