Good Morning! Anyone seen any good offers this summer (or fall maybe)? Something a little extra, in the price range 1500-2500, with a little larger than standard room and a good size fridge (I hate the small ones). A good view wouldn't hurt either 😁 Doesn't need to be too high standard, but it doesn't hurt either. A bit of walking to Nana or Cowboy doesn't bother me much either. Getting a 4-5 star (older place) for a 3 star price is my aim usually. Or a brand new hotels trying to get into the market are often very good deals , but what new hotels have poped up the last 6 months? I usually look for a 1 Bedroom Executive Suite in an apartment type hotel, but this year I haven't had much luck so far. For instance, last September I got a 1 Bedroom Executive Suite for 1700 baht at Citrus Suites Sukhumvit 6, a quite new hotel at the time. Now it is 3K plus for that, and I can do that, but would prefer something a bit cheaper. That's a recommended place by the way. Except the view from the rooms are shite.

I got a 1 Bedroom Executive Suite for 1700 baht last September, through Agoda. Really nice room, but some strange smell, most possibly from some COVID disinfection chemicals... Good location, nice rooms, but not much of a view. Rooftop pool was ok but not great. Girls no problem, had more than one at the time (and also several through the night some nights), and wasn't hit by any joiner fee for the extra. Really looking for a deal like that on my next trip in September. Now at 3K plus though 😢

Lebua - 3.5 star rooms, 5 star breakfast buffet and service thou 😎 Wouldn't mind staying there again.

You're allowed as a farrang in some of the places on Soi Thanya, you just ask. Went there with a friend last year, and we were allowed into about one out of six entrances in average. Each entrance again has quite a few clubs / karaoke bars over several floors (6?), and I got the impression that when you first was in you could enter all of them. Did see some really beautiful poyjings in there, but didn't quite catch how it worked. In each place we entered all the girls were summoned for a line up so that we could pick one or more to drink with.... Drinks very expensive, seem to remember paying 600 baht for an Japanese beer in one of the places

Is it the same coming up in Bangkok 25th March to 5th April at Impact Muang Thong Thani? http://www.bangkokmotorshowgroup.com/bangkokmotorshow/main_en.php Seen it listed as at being held at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre too, but that must be wrong... For once one of those motor shows happens when I'm in town, so I will for sure try to catch it. Not that I'm very interested in cars ;)

I usually stay at Phachara Suites. Never used the pool or the fitness room, so shouldn't comment on them, but the pool did look ok when I walked around it for a look. Be aware though that they will hit you with an extra 1000 Bath for your 2nd guest of the night, and another for the 3rd and so on. Whether it is two girls for a 3some, or just one girl you come back with several times, they will do this. Bit of a downer, but I still like the place. Tor

I believe that the Dynasty Grande Hotel Bangkok have smoking rooms, I seem to remember seeing they were cheaper than the non-smoking rooms when I did a search on Agoda or one of those hotel sites. Never stayed there, but I like the street, close to Nana and still quiet. And the restaurant at Dynasty was pretty good. Tor
