When looking for accommodation - do you go with a Hotel, Airbnb, FB Marketplace or?

I am hoping to spend about 3 months in Bangkok around July - Sept. I've seen lots of beautiful apartments on YouTube going for reasonable prices, but I can't find them now that I am looking for them online.

Browsing through Agoda, it seems like hotels are more expensive than my rent is in Syndey and they don't seem very nice/modern.

I'm looking for places close to Asoke, I'll be working remotely so I was hoping to find somewhere relatively lavish to spend my days and with a fun vibe to spend my nights.

Does anyone here have any experience with Airbnbs? Are they trustworthy?

What about going the Facebook marketplace route?

I am happy to pay a decent amount to live comfortably while I am there, but I am conscious about getting reasonable value

I just put "long term serviced apartments Bangkok" into Google and plenty of links pop up. You should be able to find something to fit your budget and location requirements.
