  1. > This is a good idea, is a bus to Cambodia (or somewhere close by road to BKK) cheaper than a flight? Would that be acceptable to immigration? I booked a return flight back to Australia this time and had to change the date, it cost almost as much as buying an entirely new ticket.
  2. Thank you for that. So it turns out you can do 2 border runs per calendar year on a visa waiver - but immigration is cracking down on this. Next time around I will apply for a multi-entry tourist visa giving me 60 days and can be extended by 30 days. I think I can do a border run before it expires and get another 60 days - otherwise I will re-enter on a visa exemption 30 days and extend by 30 days. That would give me between 5 and 6 months in Thailand - though I couldn't open a bank account with this visa configuration. A bit dumb of me not to prepare before arriving this time 😕 I will go home after my current 60 day visa exemption expires and return next year better prepared. One thing I don't understand - do you need to book your incoming and departing flights before applying for your visa? What happens if your a denied a visa?
  3. I had no idea. I'm on a New Zealand passport. I have a 6 month condo lease and am doing border runs to extend my stay
  4. I am hoping to spend about 3 months in Bangkok around July - Sept. I've seen lots of beautiful apartments on YouTube going for reasonable prices, but I can't find them now that I am looking for them online. Browsing through Agoda, it seems like hotels are more expensive than my rent is in Syndey and they don't seem very nice/modern. I'm looking for places close to Asoke, I'll be working remotely so I was hoping to find somewhere relatively lavish to spend my days and with a fun vibe to spend my nights. Does anyone here have any experience with Airbnbs? Are they trustworthy? What about going the Facebook marketplace route? I am happy to pay a decent amount to live comfortably while I am there, but I am conscious about getting reasonable value
  5. Looking for an immigration specialist that can help me with the LTR visa application "remote professional". Any suggestions on someone that can help at distance as I am back in Sydney right now?
  6. Another great one is the use of retinoids like tretinoin. Makes you look younger and reduces acne - should be able to get it from the pharmacy OTC. It's strong stuff, takes about 6 months to kick in and you skin feels uncomfortable for about a month
  7. I think these are a few, anything else I should consider? Rabies Typhoid Japanese Encephalitis
  8. What are tests able to pick up? I don't think herpes can be tested for, right?
  9. I got a hair transplant in Bangkok, stayed there for a week - first time in Thailand, thought I'd be sick of it and want to get home ASAP. Turns out I regretted buying a return ticket home. Once I returned I just had to go back and flew back to Bangkok a few months later.
  10. It appears that Vyvanse is approved and you can be prescribed it at Bumrungrad. As previously stated, Ritalin is also approved. You can bring 30 days worth of either according to this government website. I also email Bumrungrad about it. https://permitfortraveler.fda.moph.go.th/nct_permit_main/Main/FRM_checkdrug_index By contrast Dexedrine is strictly prohibited
  11. Are there any official sources I can read up on this? I'm seeing comments that Vyvanse (dexamphetamine slow release) is now class 2 in Thailand - meaning you can bring 30 days worth with a script, but you'd test positive on a urine test and these are just random online comments
  12. What the heck. Bangkok is so fun, it's a real shame they are such sticklers on something like this. I mean, I'll obviously respect their laws but it's pretty disheartening. Interesting, so it's illegal to have it in your system, rather than how it is in the west where it's okay to have in your system as long as you're not in possession?
  13. Not sure if trustworthy but: To [email protected] https://www.psychologistbangkok.com/psychotropic-medications-thailand/ > I have been prescribed Dexedrine (dexamphetamine) for ADHD in Australia and am planning a trip to Thailand for several months. Is it legal for me to bring a month's supply with me on the plane? If not, am I able to go to a local hospital (like yours) and have a new prescription issued? Reply > Yes, you can. Just bring documentation proving that this is your prescription and keep it in its original packaging Best Regards, Eric **Please kindly confirm your appointment 24 hours in advance** Dr. Eric K. 14. Where would be the best place to reach out to and ask? I have sent an email out to Bumrungrad hospital in Bangkok to ask. Will provide the reply if/when they send one. I have just read that police have been known to do random stop drug tests along Sukhumvit Road, around Asoke. Is that really a thing?
  15. I just discovered that my dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) prescription is majorly illegal in Thailand. although I haven't had issues taking it with me during my stays, it could land me in a Thai prison. I had for some reason thought I could bring in 30 days supply and be fine - turns out that isn't the case. Is it possible to get Dexedrine prescribed from a hospital while in Thailand? Can you ask for a Thai hospital to prescribe it before your travel so you can bring it with you?
  16. Yo that's actually crazy. I have been to Thailand a few times and do lucky so one asked. For those with ADHD and use amphetamines as medication, is there a process? Can I go to a local doctor or something like that?

    Turinabol?

Is this available from pharmacies anywhere or is this a no go? Looking for a hair safe compound (for people with successfully treated genetic balding) but Tbol is often counterfeited with Dbol or Winstrol which will put a crater in your hair crown.
  18. When doing unprotected sex of any kind, you're at risk of STDs. The good news is STDs aren't that bad just be educated about them. You have 2 categories, treatable and untreatable. If you punt enough, you'll get the untreatable ones eventually. You can catch them even wearing condoms. The treatable ones are treatable as long as you follow the treatment protocol strictly. The treatable ones are building an immunity to our treatments because people aren't following their treatment protocols to the end (full course of antibiotics, no sex until clear). Untreatable ones are HIV, HSV and HPV. You're only at risk of HIV if you're into sex that risks your blood to their fluid contact. Receiving butt stuff, if you have a cut from shaving, that sort of thing. Normally low-to-no risk for straight men. HSV (Herpes) is cold sores that appear on your junk. People usually get it, have no symptoms then have a cold sore appear for a week every year or two. It's gross but not a big deal. Don't punt if you have sores. HPV is warts on your junk. You freeze them off at a doctor. They are ugly but harmless. Don't punt until you clear out any warts. There's a vaccine for this, you should probably get it. HPV has many many variants - the one that causes cancer I believe does not cause warts. These are untreatable because humans have not found a way to treat viral infections (there are no antibiotics for viruses). HSV and HPV are transmissible through skin contact, so kissing, grinding, etc. Treatable ones are all bacterial and treatment is antibiotics. Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, UTIs, Syphilis, and various other similar infections. They have similar symptoms, discharge, burning when you pee, feelings of shame. Completing the full course of antibiotics will clear them, half completing the course will likely cause the bacteria to become resistant to treatment and they'll become life long infections. If you're infected, hit up the places you've been and tell them. It's not a big deal, it's part of this game. It's better to have the girls get treated because you can catch whatever from them again if you clear yourself and go back. You can catch all of these from receiving or giving oral. You won't be pristine forever, that's the game You will probably get the untreatable ones, just be educated and minimize the ddamag from the treatable ones.
  19. Same process for Adderall/amphetamines for ADHD? I've previously just brought mine in on my carry on - I had no idea it could have been an issue

    Digital Nomad Visa

In the works is the LTR digital professionals stream. We will learn more in September. It's valid for 10 years and will be multi entry, worker rights with tax residency. You need to work for a big company, earn more than 80k USD and have more than 5y experience. I'm keeping my ears on the pulse of that one.
