Hyde Sukhumvit 11
JVHyatt replied to Black Panther 809's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
Candidly I totally avoid Soi 11 at night. So many better and easier vibe sois out there. -
OP. What always works for me on scammers is — how about you go fuck your mother in the ass.

budget 500 + tolls. like I repeatedly say, use the airport rail link during hours. it’s your best friend.

What do you do during your first 6 hours in Bangkok?
JVHyatt replied to Adore's topic in General discussion about Bangkok
My first 6 hours on this mini trip consisted of taxiride to hotel on sukhumvit, a walk through to Thermae, gathered up some quotes and lines, then hightailed over to Red Dragon, chatted, drank with a number of seksi mahk thai girls and bf-ed two of em. I’d say that was a productive quarter day. -
Hotel Near Nana/Cowoby, Sukhhumvit
JVHyatt replied to mrtinfoilhat's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
“she” was a “he”, bro. First question out of your mouth for street freelancers on sukhumvit has got to be. - Are you ladyboy. I dont care how nice it looks. Mongering 101. -
Forgo the taxi unless on a very tight time crunch (and only not during rush hour) and march down to lower level and take the Airport Link to Phaya Thai and then switch to Sukhumvit line. Kill two birds with one stone and pick up the rabbit card when switching over to phaya thai. Can also get off earlier at Makhasan and switch to MRT to Asoke but I like staying on the BTS. You’ll have your passport with you having come from the airport and you’ll need it to get the rabbit card (for BtS). Takes maybe 45 min and total cost maybe $5.00 but a nice little adventure to start the fun and the BTS is jam packed with hot thai girls.

Short-Time Hotel Price List Sukhumvit
JVHyatt replied to NanAtSOL's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
dayuse.com Also, many hotels in BKK allow use of the amenities (without room) for a fee. I know the Hyatt Regency does. -
Hotel Near Nana/Cowoby, Sukhhumvit
JVHyatt replied to mrtinfoilhat's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
You’ll be up the block from Hooters which is effectively in the Four Points Sheraton and have Thermae right there around the corner on Sukhumvit. Location fine but can’t speak to the hotel itself but locationwise you’re good. can also take sneaky route to Cowboy. -
Budget hotel for 1 week around the night life
JVHyatt replied to Criminal's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
Soi 4 is the rank debauchery, i.e. agogos and beer bars. Soi 11 is the cleaned up variety, i.e. restaurants, nicer bars and clubs. easily walkable to one another so look anywhere in that area from say Soi 2 clean on up to Soi 15 and maybe five to ten minutes up/down each soi if you like walking. Citrus Sukhumvit 6 is a clear winner in my book for an NEP focused stay but there are certainly cheaper, albeit perhaps not as quality hotels but one thing BKK does not lack is hotel variety. -
Best 3 Hotels Around Nana 1500bht~3000bht
JVHyatt replied to Rock@BKK's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
Novotel on 4 has good rooftop bar action. How was it taking girls back to Doubletree Ploenchit. Not wild about the elevator placement …. -
Lost L.O.S. ?
JVHyatt replied to bad3's topic in Customs, Culture, Traditional Music, Buddhism, Arts and History
I faceplanted on Soi 4 one morning and my iced coffee and wallet scattered out in the street and like three thais literally ran over to help me up and gather my wallet for me. In the U.S., people would’ve laughed at me, put me on youtube and/or stolen my wallet. -
Hotels near Soi 11 and Soi 4
JVHyatt replied to batista275's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
the soi 11 clubs seem geared to westerners and bargirl types. Sing Sing and other clubs further down Sukhumvit into Ekkemai and Thong Lo have a more Thai bent, although not exclusively. Bobo is in the Hyatt Regency on S.13 ish but seems more a high end soi 11 club, Also check out RCA which is out of the Sukhumvit corridor but is more thai bent. And of course Khao San Road which you may enjoy if you’re younger but more the lower end so to say. You can google all of these these, -
Hotels near Soi 11 and Soi 4
JVHyatt replied to batista275's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
imho, Soi 4 is not the place for women (unless you stay far down the soi toward the park) to stay but you do you. Citrus on 6 is good value and you can actually avoid Soi 4 to walk to Nana Station or Soi 11 (or Soi 8 if you want). Even Soi 2. But Soi 11 will have much more bars and restos that appeal to women so that prob a better bet. Also has a couple of dance clubs. Look also at hotels on Soi 15 and Soi 8. Moreover, there’s no real need to stay right in Sukhumvit heart imho unless utilizing the gogos imho — and I mean moreso than just looking. Anywhere along the BTS from Ploen Chit to Thong Lo is fine, just take cab back after midnight. -
Soi11 Ambassador or Citadines
JVHyatt replied to Shadowman2013's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
cant speak to these but look at mercure soi 11. can also reco the citrus suites on soi 6 just off soi 4. Easy access to both NEP as well as Nana Station, and a smart hotel at a great price, especially the larger rooms. -
rembrandt hotel bangkok guest friendly
JVHyatt replied to smurf7's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
I really think that this whole “guest friendly” concept is a myth of yesteryear. Other than the Atlanta Hotel, is there a hotel in BKK (or anywhere in the world) that would not let you bring home some rando chick you met? If there is, I’ve not stayed in it, let alone in BKK.
