Is VRBO trusted for short term (2-3 m) rental or is there a better site in BKK?

Hola. Thanks to your amazing advice, i got my visa and will be relocating in 3 weeks. I'm looking for a place - hotels are insanely expensive btw (Adelphy49 suites, recommended here at something like 600 bucks/month, actually cost 3000 GBP / month on booking.com - not sure why). 

So i'm looking at long term rentals - and VRBO has great places for a grand gbp a month, which i think is fine but what do i know. For example this is super nice, but has a problem: I can't reach them - they take your money but they don't answer - did i stumble upon a scam? 

Anyways let me know or else i'll be getting fat at uk prices at tastoria lol .
