  1. I also use dtac (same sim, same number) for many years already and it works perfectly in nearly any part of Thailand even in the most rural parts of Isaan.

During my vacation I top up my account 10 to 12 times, every time I top up, the validity of my sim prolong for one more month. So at the end my sim valid until I will return to Thailand the next year.

I also use the dtac app that is connected with my Facebook account, so I could top up my account while being abroad as well as book a new rate plan for internet. I usally book a indiidual generated package with unlimited speed and 20GB but with free Facebook, Youtube, Line and Spotify for 90 days. Costs for the package 582 THB.

  2. My go to hotel nowadays is The Olive Bangkok Hotel at Sukhumvit Soi 64

    https://maps.app.goo.gl/Cna6JmRXTQUDzgaJA

Actually it's kind of service appartement, but decent rooms start at 1.000 THB per night, a one bedroom suite can be booked from 1.500 THB on. No pool, no breakfast, but a coffee shop on the ground floor. FWIW no walk of shame at night and for sure guest friendly ;).

I really like the location, there's a 7 Eleven shop right next to the hotel, a small local restaurant opposite the hotel, 150m away is a decent (probably) regular massage shop and BTS station Punnawithi is about 200m away.

A trip by taxi at night back from NEP maybe at about 120 THB. Never had a problem to get TF girls to my room there

  3. https://www.olivebangkokhotel.com/

I stayed there last year in August for 4 nights and it was quite convenient. Standard room starts at about 1.000 THB and a spacious one bedroom suite from 1.200 THB per night, no bf, but 7Eleven right around the corner. BTS Punnwhithi about 150m away.

During the day easy acces to BTS and at night also easy to get back to hotel by taxi. If you rely on girls from TF keep in mind the time and expenses for the girls to get to your hotel

  4. If you have bad luck the airline won't even let you enter the plane before you fly to Thailand. Doesn't have to happen, but can happen.

If it's just 2 days I would't even bother with a visa, just pay for the overstay before your departure back to Europe

  5. I read some stories from guys that fucked maids in Pattaya. But all of the stories were at least 10+ years old.

Usually most if not all hotels nowadays in the toutist areas have very strict rules for their staff when it comes to contacting guests. If a maid indeed would fuck a guest in the hotel room and hotel management will get aware of this, the maid will most probably get fired. Too much risk and usually not enough reward for the girls.

But as usual TIT and YMMV 😉

  6. Not in Bangkok but Baraquda in Pattaya has full wall of mirror by the bed. That’s big bonus for me.
Stayed many times at Baraquda in recent years. The standard rooms as well es the standard suite definitely have no mirrors on the wall.

Maybe the Grand Baraquda Suite does have these mirrors, but I really doubt it.

Maybe you mix things up with Penthouse hotel.

  7. My question - is the place how it appears on TripAdvisor - is it a good choice for that sort of price bracket or can the wiser members here direct me elsewhere?

I stayed there twice already ... it's a 4 star hotel with 5 star make up appearance ... definately great bang for your bucks.

  8. Any advice?

The Imperial Suite at Sofitel Sukhumvit and the So VIP Suite at Sofitel So have everything you are looking for, but even with a private sale you will have to pay way beyond 20.000 THB per night. Savvy Suite at Aloft also looks nice. Or Pathumwan Horizon Terrace Suite at Pathumwan Princess Hotel.

Maybe you take a look a Jacuzzi Deluxe room at Fusion Suites. It's definately affordable but I can't say anything about the firmness of the mattress there. Same for the Executive Jacuzzi Suite at Jasmin City Hotel. Or maybe the Jacuzzi Corner in the Junior Suites at Privacy Suites is ok for you.

  9. The Hilton is good, but it wasn't much better than the Doubletree next door and it cost me a lot more points.

Hm, I already stayed a couple of times at DoubleTree and while I agree that the DoubleTree is the better value than the Hilton it's definately not the better hotel. The rooms are very small (except the Deluxe Suite) und you can hear everything what happens on the floor or in the room next door. Plus it's highly frequented by chinese tour group so all facilities including the restaurant for breakfast are crowded with them.

Anyway I have a booking for my next stay in june at the DoubleTree (and at Sofitel Sukhumvit as well). You can't beat the Deluxe Suite for less than 34k points ;)
