If anyone goes to Retro 39 then they are welcome to chime in. Not to worry. I too am looking at a end of April or May visit to the LOS. I'm also looking to get to the Philippines for a few days during my travels and that's making things a bit more complicated. But being that I already crossed the ocean I might as well try and get all my mongering destinations out of the way.

Please let us know how your trip to Retro 39 went. It will help fellow mongers and we would like to know about bringing BF over there. A detailed report would be ideal but just a quick 1-2 wouldn't be bad. Accommodation? Cleanliness? Girl friendly?

Is travel by land an option? It's usually cheaper (and more arduous).

So please enlighten me. Is the 20 LDs aka barfine? Or you have to buy 20 LDs (Let's say 200thb x 20= 4000) then barfine (let's say 1000 thb) and then pay for ST (2000 thb let's say). I've put forth a conservative estimate on the prices but at that price it is totally not worth it. Better off just staying in Bangkok.

Someone please tell me that's a typo. So I have to buy 25 LDs before I can barfine? Something is not adding up. By that time the girl should be inebriated and I'll probably just have my way with her without taking her out of the club!

Thanks for further level headed advice. I have scheduled a visit to a Dr when I reach state side again. In the mean time I'm staying away from self prescribing.

Thanks for all the level headed advice. @NanAtSOL @schnytzal @ruck The last time I went to the Dr about something that I may or may not have contracted they gave me a set of two pills (Damned if I can remember what it was) and said that will cover anything that may be up and coming. Besides that they took a urine sample and some blood. Said that if anything came up that was not covered by the two pills they can prescribe me something. I was hoping that someone could tell me what a good all purpose antibacterial may be (doxycycline possibly?) and I would start on that before my trip home and consult a Dr when I reach the Western hemisphere. I will stick to the general consensus on this thread... Just wait to get home to a Dr. I'll be back before Monday so it's not like I have to wait long.

I came across a post on a thread before that mentioned that if someone is worried about taking something home with them that they did not intend they should take xyz pills. Sadly I cant seem to find that thread anymore. So, if someone is worried about syphilis or something similar what should they look for at the pharmacy? Just want to cover my bases and dont want to take anything extra home. Please also consider the fact that I'm not actually in Thailand and cannot talk to some of the pharmacists that are in the know on what to give me. I'm in another country close by and partook in some local flavors. What pills should I be trying to get in case I picked up something during my travels? Thanks for any insights.
