It is Girl friendly ,they had a little desk on the left as you walk towards the lift , they usually ask your friend to deposit there ID card , that used to be the case, , before it used to be at the concierge desk.

It was a Favourite  place of mine once , then the superior room was starting to show there tiredness, but still nice , but there are some nice options avalible now in other places for the same amount ,

Pros great position, can relax and watch the world go by having a coffee , or some food on the front  walk way, good bar in the basement food +, good gym was free for residents list time i went.

Once work paid for me to the executive floor , that ws a nice change, rooms a bit bigger, don't think i would pay for it my self. 

Now this is where it all went wrong for me last Friday night at The Game. I hit the Kilkenny Pints as they are 199 baht all day until 6:00 PM. Also, without eating anything, I was daft enough to go straight onto the Kilkenny Pints. Fair to say, I was well on my way by the time I hit Nana Plaza! :wacko:

You are getting to old to be chasing happy hour ,especially on pints, thats where it went wrong mate ,just to let u know mucker i had some mates over for a stag do the other week and they liked the bar, started each night here, the lads  had a few hrs on big Bernie's stag do here , he was dressed as Giant chicken though, glad no one tried to cook him. sorry i missed u last leave i did pop in to see u ,but u are a busy man now ,

Don't know if there is , But you can cut through from soi 7 opposite the beergarten , there is a hotel(think it is called the park) walk along it s front you will a small green gate go though this past happy feet massage , keep going across the car park, to a small walk way this brings you out opposite the Ambassador Hotel.

Phachara Suites , the rooms are class, also good f you get a get a deal on one of the booking sites , alsways found there own site to be exspensive, Grand Suk it was showing signs of aging but this was only from some fella i was gassing to in a bar, 

But the Grand Dyasty over the road from PS is also a good option gym is very good ,and they have a good pool, there updated  rooms are in good order, have stayed here many times and never had a problem with bringing back a friend (never had two together so cant comment here).

I have stayed there about three times i think, first time was good booked one of the Junior Suite rooms, bit bigger and had a corner ,side soft settee type thing , ok for extra games .rooms have the new type of glass shower unit ,so make sure u pull the blind down when takinga dump ,or may be not ??
 

The water was a nightmare , could never get it hot when i was there.Last time i had a superior small and smelly due to the damp , showing were and ter now ,it is a cheap enough option, but i found it hard to relax there On the night i was not on the beer,could not settle down had to go out again.

I also had a problem with my credit card here, the bank would not exept the hotel, so had to pay in cash,i only stoped two nights then moved to Grand Dynasty.

They have a nice little bar just in front foya i had a beer whilst witing for the las to get ready there , friendly enough hotel run by an Indian family, think they have a few on soi 4 now..

Arrive back Morning 20th, we -end in BKK then of to Patts to see the kids, back for NYE, arriving in town got a small posy in tow on the 30th few warmers in the bank on the 30th then the big  DAY/NIGHT, in town for 6 days , then of to the Philly first time trip for a week,

I now have my eldest son arriving for the first time in Los, he will be in on the 19th Dec ,so me and few mates are coming up to show him round BKK, he is 28 so not such a boy anymore, I look forward to seeing his face when he gets out and about in Nana and Cowboy Pattpong. He will get a proper introduction to Thailand, bit strange taking your son out (lodes of time in UK just to the pub) but Nothing ever prepares you for Thailand, every one has memories of when they first came here, good and bad, mine are great and I never want to forget them. At least he will have us to show him the ropes,

Just booked 4 nights for our little adventure on the 19th Dec, ok the rooms are showing a little where and it is a little way down the soi but still a decent price, do not know if they have sorted the fitness room out but last time it was pants.\\

Thanks for the Link ,I was up there a few months ago and had a look at the building that was on going, seems like they have done a good job according to the web site, I was looking for a different place to stay on my next visit ,away from Nana for a small change, I have stayed at the old place a few times and enjoyed it (nice to relax at the pool ),the German guy that used to run it was a good guy very helpful, but this new place look,s trendy,

Just booked ( Lohas SUITES SUKHUMVIT by SUPERHOTEL) on soi 2 got a decent deal 8300 Bht was the Amari before,and was decent good gym and pool,hope its not gone down hill with the new management,get in on the 25th, been a long shift this one looking forward to a few days on the beer, 

Back sept 25th, for 6 weeks, seems like an age away, hope time goes quick ?

Only Two weeks to go now , this time then i will be boots on the ground, not that i am counting ?

S15 I have been to twice , once on my own ,once with my Long time GF , they are GF but not to sure about more than one , some people have reported the night staff can be a bit stiff we where in the Junior Suite it was nice,

As for Dream great hotel , i have been here about 4/5 times, and never had a problem with bringing any one back, i can not see them having a problem with more than one , i was always in the other building across the street (this hotel has main building and a second building across the street) i prefer the one across the street swimming pool and Gym in it.,  ,

too bad can get any suggestions yet from any members

Mate have a good look thorough the Girl friendly thread, as you know mate 4* in the real world does not mean 4* here, most of the big chains are GF Landmark is good, and always friendly, Sheraton GF ,Marriott GF, but some of the big chains may charge you for more than one bird in tow, if this is your preferred MO then may be not so posh normal 4* place would suit you,

There are apartment type places on lower Suck that fit the bill, there are a lot of places down this area , Amari soi 2, Omni Tower soi 4 ,Grand Dynasty soi 6,

Dont think there are many places that will let 3 people (guy of chicks) rent a room  with out paying for an extra bed you could try OMNI Towers  on soi 4 they have a two bedroom appartment option ,between three should not be to exspensive, There are also a couple of guest house options on soi 4, then over on soi 7/1  you have maxims inn,and a few other cheaper but ok value type, these are right in the middle of the action.

Also on soi 4 there are a couple of Dorm type accommadation can not remember the name of them , by Big Mango Bar, as you walk down soi 4 from Suck on the left ,reach Jools bar and take a left and they are down there.

I had the first 4 days here on soi 11 very modern and Chic, loved the place has a great buzz to it , seems full at the we-ends, has Levels night Club there (did not make it  though) The room i had was Chic Double had every thing you need very comfy, Iron so no extra pressing cost, bathromm is cool ,Ipod mounts, good selection in the mini bar,

I think they are to busy at all times to check for who is comming in with you,the front desk are very good ,check in was fast,and allways willing to help with any problem.

Have internett in the room free, and also internett in the foya, thye also have  pool tables there, cool place plenty of places to chill out ,i did not get chance to go the pool or Gym.

Great hotel for party week end, i was on one of the high floors so had no noise issues, (not that i would know , to much beer every night ).and Soi 11 is a great place to be ,

Once againe watch the Taxi guys out side ,high prices,

Rooms are cracking massive bed , good TV, Bathrooms have everything you need, beds are brill I was out like a light. This hotel is top notch” there were a few family’s here when we stayed, but also a few sings lads and their friends.

Reception is very good helpful also, did not bat an eye lid when we came back that afternoon with our new friends,

I will not remain at this price for long

Thanks for posting that , it will come in handy ,i was jogging some times out of soi 4 turn left up to the junction with Wireless .but this looks a better route for me to get to Lumpini Park , make a decent jog this,  

Work just booked me in the Aloft Bangkok - Sukhumvit 11 next we-end for 5 nights, have read some good things about this place, a small walk from my usual stomping ground on soi 4, Looks a real party hotel from the reviews on booking sites and Trip adviser, some say too much noise from the Levels night club in same building, but I am not there to relax > anyone been to this hotel ,appreciate any info , hope they don’t mint me arriving early in the morning, will update when i find out about it

Dynasty Inn on soi 4 right bang slap in the middle of the action, book the new rooms in the back building no one has ever check any ID with me in there, sometimes a fella sitting at a desk ,never even looks up .And you can shoo them out in the morning down the side road that leads to the back building, although the girls in bar 4(directly opposite) and Hillary 4 (right next to it) never miss a trick no matter how hard you try to hide you guest for the night,

Just got my dates through Home 4/5th July BKK for 10 days, back to patts, for a week ,then of to Phuket ,for a week then back to the big city.

Back in town tonight after a small trip up country ,and let me tell you i am never so happy to be back after that trip will be on soi 4 later if any one about ,Bar 4 Hilary's ,MN usual places

I know 10 days seems a long time now but this will fly past, so you do not want to be tied down to one place unless you really like it and you won’t know that till you get there (stating the obvious I know).

I tell my mates only to book for two days max, they then have the flexibility to move on if they don’t like it , I would not recommend you stay in BKK all that time for your firs trip ,get of down to Pattaya (sister board Pattaya addicts has every hotel and recommendation you will need ) or down to Phuket, But don’t try to do all 3 in one trip.

Get some serious research done on this and other boards like it, how much to pay, scams, what is expected, how to treat the Thais Difference between, good drinking bars and Go Go’s, how to you think you should be treated and what the reality relays is, different between afternoons and night adventures, if you are a beer drinker and like a good session and friendly people

.

Never judge a book by its cover, I have spoilt many a good day evening out this way, over paranoid when I first came here or tried a new area thinking everyone is at it,(they probably in some form or shape are but it is how much you let them get away with what matters) meet up with fellow BMS and they will give you a start in the right direction.

Most of this info mate is on here when you get stuck please feel free to ask

My advice is book a hotel in Bkk on the lower sukhumvit Rd from soi 1 through to 15 is the about the lowest I go now. Very handy for either for the Nana or Cowboy entertainment areas. Some good deals floating around, all depends on your Budget,

Two points to remember mate we are here for a good time not a long time, and never go ugly early in Thailand.

I was going to stay Dynasty Inn on the 11th after finding the nana was full on the dates in wanted, booked a Deluxe new for 2000bht, round the back ,out of sight out of mind" i am fed up of walking up and down the soi, well i do tend to fall over after a few

beers.

Rang Mahal at the Rembrandt Hotel on Suk 18 (left hand side as you enter from Suk).

Top place been a few times, but not our average English (chicken tika massala) from the local indian)take away venue, posh very nice atmosphere, look after you also, even if you have a bit of Graft on your arm.The prices can be a little steep,I thought I may have a problem because this hotel is known to be anti graft. But would recommend this restaurant to any one who likes a good ruby Murray
