I am always fine with cooked food.
Rarely I'll have some trouble with salad, like fresh salad rolls from a market.
I don't think they wash the veg.
Same here really. The best one is the BBQ fish. Absolutely delicious.

are the street stalls safe to eat? i've got a weak stomach and the last thing i'd want is food poisoning.
They are fine generally. I’ve been more ill from restaurants.
Go to the cook to order places that cook the food there and then. Stay clear of stuff that has been cooked and is just sat there.

The Coffee Club, at the T on Soi 11, is open 24 hours to service the clubs in the area that stay open until dawn.
Good shout. There chili eggs Benedict is a treat.

Let's say you're staying on Soi 11 and want to go out for food at 2 or 3 AM somewhere (even if it's a short train ride away). Where would you go?
I'm tired of always going to McDonald's for late night food. I just don't know where to go late at night in that area for food.
Any recommendations?
You aren’t getting on a train at 2am dude. They finish at midnight. There will always be street vendors knocking around, but Margarita Storm on Soi 13 is a 24 hour place and does decent food.

Out of curiosity what do you do? I've considered the move myself but my brain would melt under the weight of poon.
I still work, so I’m not roaming around all day fucking. But I do go out a fair bit. That said, I generally don’t bar fine. I like to have some fun in some of the smaller bars with the girls, but if I want action I pretty much always rely on massage places. And not fuck shops, but places where you get massages with extras.
Some of the girls I know from the bars I meet every now and again, but normally out of their working time. There is pussy everywhere in Bangkok, but the best way is to have 5 or 6 girls who you get on with and they like to fuck, then keep them as regulars. No negotiating, no games, just good fun.

Until I moved to Thailand, it was just a modest amount. Since I arrived in Bangkok 5 years ago, I literally have no idea now. Lost count (not that am was counting).

Got some antibiotics which took care of the cough. Even if was some STDs, pretty sure the antibiotics took care of some of the more common ones
Strange. That’s not really how antibiotics work. They work on bacterial infections and not a virus, plus you need to take the correct antibiotic depending on the bacterial infection. You can’t just take random antibiotics hoping it will get rid of some unknown ailments.

Thanks for this. I did shower and scrub immediately after. Didn't embarrass the girl, was just upset I was not informed of the menstration before BF. Felt like I wasted a ton of money plus the room charge.
On a separate note I've been on doxy Prep/PEP so hopefully will prevent anything that comes up.
You had a condom on dude, quit worrying 👍

Interesting,
What makes it better than Fitzgeralds?
Most of the Irish bars in Bangkok are your standard fare. BS seems to have better quality products and more stuff cooked from scratch rather than just microwaved. They do a very good breakfast and the fresh sausage rolls are lovely.

For western food on Soi 4, the Blarney Stone is the best option by a long way.

BFed a girl who gave no indication she was on menstruation until we got back to the hotel. Got busy for less than 5 minutes with a CFS before the blood started seeping down my balls. We immediately stopped. What are the chances of STDs? First time having to deal with this. We did also DFK.
Why are you worried about the DFK?

Probably once a week. And normally in a massage place. Maybe just a BJ or maybe a fuck.

Where is this place?
Thanks in advance.

Billy’s smokehouse for the win.

Give Khaosan a miss. It’s horrendous. If you want non mongering destinations, there are loads better options.

Go onto booking.com or Agoda. Look at the map and book anything between Asok and Nana BTS stations. That puts you in walking distance of Cowboy, Nana, and Soi 6.

so do the gogos open back up 12:01 am Sunday (Sat night)?
Some do. But most don’t and just have a night off.

You are taking a risk dude…….

Don’t overstay. It’s not worth the risk. Extend your visa, or do a border run.

ironically, so many (white) tourists are ultra wary of the African dudes hanging out around Sukumvit. these guys are, in my experience, VERY chill. if they're spread out at intervals asking you what's up they're corner boys, dealing, but they're very chill.
also there are African dudes with 'real' jobs, and students, etc you'll find hanging out in sports bars, great fun to watch a football match with 'em, they tend to be knowledgeable and the banter's great.
Ladyboys on the street, and tourists in clubs and around backpacker areas like Kaosan Road, these are who to keep an eye on.
that said, BKK is one of the least dangerous cities i've been to, i've lived in Thailand since 2005. the time i got my phone lifted i was drunk and stupid. just be alert, especially if someone jostles you.All of this. The African dudes don’t bother you at all. People “bumping you” are the biggest worry. And even then, it is pretty damn safe.
