  1. I used True on my recent trip. Great service and reasonable. True was the first to roll out 4G service. I got 4 GB if data for 500 THB.I had to purchase a little more talk time,300 THB. More than I could use in a month. Stayed off wifi for the most part because True Data was faster.

Thanks for the tip. You need to post more you always have some great info.

  2. Sorry, I always use hotels in BKK. If you were going to Chiang Mai I know a few Penthouses that were quite nice when entertaining an above average number. One I can assure has a shower that will indeed comfortably hold 5 at a time.  :D

I am sure someone here will be along with a BKK recommend soon enough. Best of luck and hope you have a great time.

  3.

There are many good pharmacies in Chiang Mai. I went to Boots, near the Tapae Gate. Probably more expensive that some, but got excellent advice from a Pharmacist.

I would have to concur. Boots is a little more but has an actual Pharmacist on duty every time I have visited.

  4. This trip my US Doctor recommended I get a Test for my Liver called a Fibro Scan. I went to the Bumrungrad Hospital website at;  https://www.bumrungrad.com/ and started the process. Got a quote 7000-8000 THB,made the appointment and was surprised at how easy and reasonable it was. When you go to Bumrungrad the first time, you have to go into Admissions and fill out a few forms and provide a copy of your Passport. This took about 15-20 minutes. Left to another floor to see the Doctor for a Consult, proceeded to another exam room to have the test, administered by the Doctor and the results were printed out promptly. Total Cost; 7,465 THB. I am sure it would have been double or more in the US,as not covered by my Insurance Plan. My Liver is in great shape and now I know for sure.

That is great. I am sure you have breathed a sigh of relief. I doubt you would have had a Doctor administer the test in the states. They would review the tests performed at a test mill and you would have the pleasure of paying again to have your results explained.
