Glad it all worked out. Shows that there are still good people left in the world. Any significant changes to the hotel after they reopened? Just curious.

Most, if not all, of the popular hotels also have their own websites. You can book directly through them via their websites as well with full confidence. Another option is to visit their websites to check prices and then head over to agoda, booking.com, hotels.com, etc. to compare prices against each other and against the hotel itself. I've used all of the options and they all work as expected.

I like the idea of a condo or apartment instead of a hotel in Bangkok even for a short stay. I have never used AirBnB before but I have looked at the site and tried to figure things out. I get a little confused and find it hard to understand why most places just don't tell you the name of the building so that you can map it out and determine if the place is right for your stay. No big deal. I have always used only a condo in Pattaya and only a hotel in Bangkok. I like the sense of freedom that a condo brings moreso than a hotel. I would be interested in more details about serviced apartments too as it seems like you get the best of both worlds.

Anyone else not able to access the PA forum? I tried both on browser and with Tapatalk. Neither worked. Just wondering. I'm sure they will get it fixed soon.

Add Hillary 2 to the mix as well. Several people say it is like the old Climax. It isn't as big (as far as I remember) but there are plenty of freelancers in there after Nana Plaza closes.

No real reason. I seem to spend most of my time, with the exception of visiting Nana Plaza and Soi 4, on the odd side of Sukhumvit. I hate crossing the road because I can be a lazy ass sometimes. I've stayed in a corner room twice. Once I paid for it and once I was upgraded for no apparent reason. I have also stayed in a premium room twice. The corner room gives you a bit more space that is filled with a couch, chair and a coffee table. If that's worth the extra money to you, then book it. I do prefer the corner room but I didn't use the couch or chair to do anything but set things on. When I look at it like that, it's really not worth the extra money. I would also say that the regular premium room is nice but not spectacular. It's probably easily compared with a few hotels in the area. The things that I like most about the Landmark it's location in reference to Nana Plaza and the no hassle policy with the girls. The things that I like least about the hotel is that I wish it was on the opposite side of Sukhumvit and I wish there was a decent laundry place nearby. $200 per night - ouch! Their prices do tend to fluctuate though. Good point about the secret entrance off of Soi 17. It's also convenient to use when visiting Terminal 21 and other places in that direction. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk

Landmark is great, in my opinion. Very close to Nana and not too far from Cowboy. I like Four Points by Sheraton on Soi 15 as well. Closer to Cowboy but an easy walk to Nana as well. I've stayed at both more than once and really can't choose one over the other. Both are very guest-friendly. You can either leave your friends ID at reception when bringing them upstairs or not. ^^^What he said. If you come in from the Soi 17 side you do not pass the desk so it's easy to skip. They have never asked me either when coming in on the Soi 15 side but I'm sure they would take the ID's if you walked up to the counter and requested it. Sent from my Moto E (4) Plus using Tapatalk

I have only stayed in Four Points.and will be staying there again for 7 nights in December. They leave you alone when coming in with a lady (or 2). I assume they would take her ID if asked but I never bothered. Not saying you shouldn't bother, I just chose not to. You are correct about the location. Almost in the middle of Nana and Cowboy and a few steps away from Thermae. I choose it over Adelphi because I like the side of Sukhumvit that Four Points is on more than the side that Adelphi is on. Seems like there is more action on that side and Sukhumvit can be a bitch to cross if you get lazy like I do sometimes. Four Points is also close to T21 like you mentioned and I visit there quite a bit to eat and what not. I haven't tried to stay outside of that area yet as I like being in the middle so I wouldn't consider staying at the other hotel that you mention. I have not heard any negatives about the Adelphi but it's just on the wrong side of Sukhumvit for me. I also emailed them a couple of years ago and they replied that there was a fee for taking more than one lady back at the see time. That helped me make my choice on my first trip. In my opinion, yes, they can be better. They can also be pretty average. I remember my first one in Bangkok at Copacabana. I had two days left on a two week long trip and decided to try one before I left. I was pissed that I didn't go earlier. I would have been back multiple times that trip. They are different. I love the slip and slide part of the soapy on the inflatable mattress. It's something I look forward to now. In a 2-3 week trip I probably visit a soapy 4-5 times. Never had a bad time and certainly had some incredible experiences. If you have the means, I would give one of the bigger soapy establishments a try. I've stayed in a Premium corner room at the Landmark twice. Once I booked it and once they upgraded me. Definitely had more space than the standard room. I liked the extra space. The rooms were really nice. You basically get a couch, coffee table and a comfortable chair that doesn't come with the standard room. I agree with The Sith about them allowing girls without any fees. It is definitely a no hassle experience. I brought multiple ladies to the room on more than one occasion and they never said a word. They also have several restaurants. The Huntsman in the basement is not bad and used to have some decent freelancers available. Presumably they still do. There is also a late night restaurant, possibly open 24 hours, in the basement which is not terrible early in the morning. Their breakfast buffet is good too, but expensive. There are a couple of other restaurants that I didn't try. The hotel is older but well maintained, in my opinion. No complaints at all from me. All that being said, I am staying at Four Points By Sheraton this December. I like it equally as much and they have a similar attitude when bringing friends back to the room. Ok to do at The Landmark as well. You basically just walk right by the desk and smile. They never asked me any questions. I never had the girls from a threesome leave their id at the desk either. Also cool at the Four Points by Sheraton. I use the entrance on Soi 17 generally and don't have to walk past the front desk. I'm not sure what either hotel would say if you asked permission though. Never stayed at either, so take this with a grain of salt, but as far as location goes, I think Sofitel is the better choice here. Helps being closer to Soi 11 and Nana Plaza in case you alter your plans. Location matters to me more than price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
