Soi 13 Sukhumvit

I had a brief but pleasant stay at Citichic in late June of this year and wanted to share my experiences. Citichic is a great alternative if you are seeking accommodation that falls between a luxury establishment and a dive. The hotel is relatively new and while the rooms are not overly spacious they are comfortable. All rooms have a large LCD television, in room safe, stocked minibar and great bathroom facilities. The breakfast is of decent quality but the selection is a bit limited.

The pitfalls of this property are it's location, the service, and breakfast is only served until 10:30am. Be prepared to hike to Sukhumvit and back if you don't use a motorbike taxi. The walk is around 10 minutes from the closest BTS station. The hotel does say that they have complimentary TukTuk service to Sukhumvit but during my stay it was not in service. Speaking of service, while the hotel staff was usually friendly do not expect registration to check your girl's ID and for some reason I did not receive my early am wake up call.

Overall, I would stay at this hotel again if there weren't better options currently available such as Dream.

I stayed here in April 09 for a week.

I have never stayed at this side of town before. I am now COMPLETELY converted. I loved it. Its in the middle between Cowboy and NEP and has Q Bar and SUpper Club on its doorstep. There is also a 7/11 at the end of the street along with a great happy massage. Thermae bar is at the top of the road and when I stayed, the Tuk Tuk service was tip top. It will only take you to the top of the street or the nearest Sky Train station. One day I wanted to go to the pharmacy and they were happy to take me and wait to bring me back.

There are no joiners at all. Me and my mate were sharing a room and we had 3 girls back one night and no issues at all (and no extra charges). They also didn't check any of their IDs.

They close their rooftop around 9pm I think now. It certainly wasn't open at 3am when we all went upstairs for a pool party with our girls :)

I would save the cash and NOT go for the balcony/terraced rooms. They are actually smaller. There is no view anyways, so you are better to get the bigger room which is cheaper.

The bathrooms are lovely and I really enjoyed the large rose head showers they installed. I also liked the mood-lighting for the TV/wall feature surround they installed. Nice touch.

Tim at Thai Hotel Discounts (BM on the Patt Add site) gets the cheapest deal with Citi Chic. He was way cheaper than everyone else when I booked up. He's also got his own site at Otelrooms. They are showing a deal of 1698 baht just now here. That is a tremendous price.

I would certainly recommend. In fact, thanks for putting this review up. Im just going to book this hotel now for my next trip :(
