Bangkok Review - Boss Suites and Nana Hotel

Recommended Posts

Hey there guys just wanted to add my input on my stays at Bangkok. I stayed at two places last year on my trip. They were the Boss Suites and Nana Plaza Hotel

Boss Suites Hotel (Deluxe Double) Price - 50 cad per night approx 1,212.31 baht per night
First hotel i ever stayed in Thailand. Location wise, not the closest to NEP as still 10 minute walk but not too big a deal for me. They provided free of charge tuk tuk service to Nana BTS which was nice and everytime I used it, I did not have to wait for more people to jump on. Just requested and went off. Also kind of hidden as hotel was tucked in a small alley which took me awhile to find. In regards to the room. Very nice i would have to say as much more modern and seemed clean during my stay. Washroom has those clear window type style for those people who like perv on their partners while they shower. Window view nothing spectacular as on second floor. Cleanliness was questionable though, as during my stay everything looked pretty clean however closer inspection in closets i found some opened condom wrappers. :(. Overall I probably would not stay here again as for same price you can get better location and quality. Breakfast was typical hotel buffet style with sausages and wieners. Nothing to write home about. Staff there was super friendly and very helpful.

Nana hotel (Standard Room) Price - 52.67 cad per night approx 1277.05 baht per night
After coming back from Pattaya I stayed at the Nana hotel. Best thing about this place is the location. Literally NEP is at your doorsteps with freelancers just draped along the street. The room definitely shows some age and is definitely less stylish then Boss Suites. The color of the carpet and weird seating bed back board with worn down wooden furniture did not help with the appearance. Window view was much better compared to Boss as i had a nice look over the BTS rail. Size wise, I would say the same as Boss Suites in which there was ample room to move around. Aside from the style of the room though, I must admit i was a little hesitant to book as researching reviews on this forum about it. But I would like to say Nana hotel is not as bad as I would think people are saying and is actually pretty solid option. Staff issues that people had before never happened to me and the rooms were clean with no complaints from me. Breakfast buffet also was included and pretty much standard fare, but still better then Boss Suites as had a couple more options.

Overall, I would probably take Nana hotel over Boss Suites, just as location was such a convenience as well Nana provides the all the basic amenities. Solid shower pressure, big fridge and cleanliness. Sure Boss Suites staff maybe better but i can make do without it if it means a small degree of less quality service with a better location, especially with similar price per room. In my next trip I would probably try to book with Majestic Suites as I have positive reviews and it does not sacrifice the location aspect.

Thanks for that I've always wondered about these two, they always were the first options to pop up when I loaded up Agoda around the nana area but the reviews always put me off. Still not convinced and probably well try Sawasdee Hotel next time but its nice to have options
