On paper, I don´t believe it is guest friendly. But with discretion it was not enforced when I stayed there. Use the doors further away from the reception and go straight up the stairs to the 1st floor. Use the elevators from there.

Be very careful. A stayed there about 10 years ago and when I tried to take my guest to my room was told a very firm NO. As I was leaving with her the doorman said if I went to my room alone for 500B in a few minutes my guest would join me. I did not take him up on the offer and we went to another hotel for the night. The next morning I checked out and have never been back. Given the number of times I visit BKK they have lost a large amount of income!
