Marriott Executive Apartments?

Hi,

 

I've got some spare Marriott points and an incentive coupon, but I've never used points for expat apartment/mongering combo. It looks like there is a new Marriott Executive Apartments that opened on Soi 24 near Wash Sq. (This is different than the Lumpini Park/Mayfair and Sathorn locales).

Questions:

Has anyone tried the other executive apartments?

Joiner fees or GF?

Any idea if the joiner fee would be more than the actual cost savings?

 

FWIW, I know the JW is a different scenario but my coupon is better served with the apartments (as I can get a 2bdrm and bring a buddy along).

 

My initial thought is to take my buddy to Pattaya and get two rooms at a cheaper place than normal and keep the coupon for later.

 

Any feedback???
