He will be fined 500 baht per day for overstaying when he leaves Thailand at any border including Suwannapoom International Airport. Don't think it will cause him any problems next time he comes back though, ... but if he's caught inside Thailand with an overdue visa it might cause him more serious problems ! viagragirl Posted April 30, 2013 Share Posted April 30, 2013 Maybe he should re-think whether it's worth it or not, the fine is likely to be more than the cost of a visa run, and he will only lose half a day. Plenty of people overstay and get away with it, but if he does get caught out it will be a very unpleasant experience. Maybe he is eligible to get a visa extension at an immigration office?
