I've been a member of Global Entry for about two years, and it's great. My usual POE is Washington DC, and there's never a line at the GE kiosks; I just breeze through. If you're a GE member, you automatically qualify for the new "PreCheck" expedited security screening. You send them $15 and they give you a special ID card (and number) that you can register with participating airlines.
