  1. Another surprise today

I had to cut short my trip by 1 day and told the hotel I would check out 24 hours early. On checking out, I expected a 'to bad so sad" story and no refund. To my surprise, I received a full refund for the day I didn't stay or the option of booking the room for a future date. I took the cash offer and got a 2 000 baht refund.

This hotel is definitely looking afer its customers

Now THIS is an endorsement.  You must have some previous history with this property for them to treat you this way?  They seemed to know you'd be back.  Either case it looks like they made a customer for life.

As someone who lost their fair share of items in random hotel rooms, this was a cool story to read.  I'm glad you got your items back safely.

Thanks. I used to stay there but the went elsewhere due to the price. I doubt they would have remembered me but - who knows.

Now days the service at the hotel is much better than previous years

Glad it all worked out. Shows that there are still good people left in the world.

Any significant changes to the hotel after they reopened?  Just curious.

The rooms have been renovated since I stayed there pre covid and the restaurant has gone. There is a small bar out front with limited beverages. Reception area is also smaller. The hotel has a nice look about it

  4. I have posted this in the Pattaya Addicts forum as well.

Mods. Please move this post if 't ask - you need to.

I am currently staying at the Dynasty Inn in Bangkok and this post is all about customer service.

6 months ago I stayed at this hotel and had to leave urgently for a personal emergency which I explained to the receptionist. She immediately - and I didn't ask - credited me with the 2 days that I lost for a future date. A surprise and the next was to follow. When I got home I realised that I had left my shaving kit in the toilet/bathroom and immediately phoned the hotel and asked if they could look for it and keep it for my return. My thoughts - gone, dumped, lost.

After 6 MONTHS I returned to the hotel today and checked in. Asked about the shaving kit. The answer - 'we will look for it'. Went to my room thinking it was gone. Went shopping at the 7eleven and returned to  the hotel and even with out my asking, the shaving kit was put on the desk in front of me. I gave them a good tip.

What they were NOT told was that I had 10 000 baht hidden in the kit. IT was all still there when I got it back. Perfect customer service. I will be staying here regularly now.

I thought I had lost 10K and here it is through honesty and good service

  5. I was going to used them and went for a walk down Soi 7 one night. It is a long walk to this hotel and there is little street lighting.

I used their sister hotel "The Key" on Soi 19 and was very surprised. The service was excellent and, while it is down a side soi, it is easily accessible to all transport. Basically, it is behind Robinson Department Store

  6. I have had quite a lot of dentist work done in Pattaya as I used to live and work there. I haven't had implants but have had crowns and root canals done with no problems at all. This was at the Pattaya Memorial Hospital.

I was quoted $9000 in Australia to have 4 root canals and crowns done. Went to Pattaya and paid $3500 and that included the return air ticket. I did stay in a 500 baht a night room to cut costs a little.
