I have not but I have a buddy who lived there. It’s safe, cheap, and quiet. He did multiple stints over a few years and kept going back. Mongering is still available, but nowhere nearly as prevalent as BKK or Patts.

I can second Rajadamnern. They put on a good show. I sat ringside but there are no bad seats in the arena since it’s a relatively small venue.

Aspen Suites and/or Solo hotel on Soi 2. Both were nice and quiet and no problem with guests. 10 min walk to Nana or a 300 baht tuktuk to Cowboy. 5 min walk to a nice grocery store on the lower level of Ploenchit Plaza.

I stayed at Aspen suites on Sukhumvit 2. Guest friendly. Pool. Short walk to Nana/BTS. There’s a grocery store on the lower level of Ploenchit center that’s a 5 min walk so you can get any supplies you need. It’s also on a dead end road so the neighborhood feels quiet. Would recommend.
