I have never had trouble finding a cab on Soi 4 early in the morning. There are lots of them hanging around at 4:30 am.

If you are transiting TPE you do not go through immigration. You will go through security though.

I need a room for about 2 hours (2am to 4am) just to shower and clean-up, probably won't even use the bed. Do you think a short-time room would work? I've never used one in Bangkok.
