  1. Looks like the old Narry's Inn after refurbishment and a name change ;) Agoda pricing does not include tax + service charge and doesn't appear to be any lower than booking direct on Narry's web site? 1100 - 1200 baht / night is about the right price - no way is it worth 1900bt or the ridiculous "official" pricing shown on both the Agoda and Narry website's  Not sure about that glass fronted shower area - might be nice watching a girl taking a shower but I like a bit of privacy when I'm sat on the shitter :P
  2. I'll 2nd that - out of all the tourist attractions Muang Boran is the one that's impressed me the most. :)
  3. As far as I know there's an escalator and lift at Phayathai Station. However, you should be aware that any journey via the rail link is going to involve humping luggage around - and if you don't fancy it, you should stick to using a taxi.
  4. Well, I don't think many would consider the Bearing Area to be a viable option without the BTS ;) Like I said, it's too far out for my taste but good luck with it - it's a nice Condo.
  5. Nice condo & good layout...............but too far out of town for my liking.
  6. Just do as the Thais do - go to the arrivals floor and pick up a Taxi who has just dropped a passenger off. This avoids waiting around and paying the Airport taxi surcharge. Make sure he agrees to use the meter before you get in - this won't be a problem as most drivers are desperate to pick up an immediate return fare. :)
  7. It means a vastly overpriced taxi service used by suckers who don't know any better. :D Don't waste your money - just use the regular meter taxis which are perfectly good enough.
  8. Nice review Michael, but.....why are you being coy about the price?? Anyway......Joiner Fee + BTS induced room shake = Not for me Thanks. :P
  9. I tried it out on my last trip just for an experiment. The rail link from the airport to Phayathai is no problem - the train is clean & spacious and it's a much more interesting view than travelleing by taxi. Phayathai to Sukhumvit on the sky train can be a pain in the arse if you have luggage (which I have). Not too bad if you are travelling outside peak periods but no fun if you're travelling when it's congested. Also note that the journey involves carrying your luggage up a few staircases - not a problem for me but maybe a problem for the more physically challenged mongers :P Overall, I would use the rail link again outside peak periods and I would defintely use it if the traffic in Bangkok is grid locked. Other than that, I'll stick to using the taxi. :)
