  1. Yeah i was just trying to save a little money think it worked out $100 cheaper then using agoda or Booking.com, found the site on hotel hotelscombined. Hotel just got back to me and said they would try and work it out with the "travel agent" Funny enough they now list free cancellation for the same price just it wasn't there when I booked the first time. Regardless of the outcome I gonna still book this hotel they have atleast attempted to help me out even though they have no obligation to do so New Bitmap Image (3).bmp
  2. I just booked tickets from bangkok to Cambodia and its only 3600baht with thai airways just depends how far in advance you book also if you bring a suitcase or not.If not air asia is the way to go
  3. So I thought I'd start this to share my experience give others a place to share. NOTES: I understand I made a mistake and that I forfeit the money for the booking but as I've already lost the money why not try. Goal: Try and change my booking Finding out my leave had been approved I started booking my upcoming holiday. Finding a nice discounted rate, I booked a hotel for a one week stay in Bangkok via "Hotelopia Mid July" but during the booking I made a mistake with the dates and ending up book one week earlier then I needed too. So when I discovered my mistake (the next day) I immediately tried to contact Hotelopia, through their only messaging system and via the phone numbers they provided only to find all local ones didn't work. A quick google search didn't give fill me with much confidence as customer service is always rated "non-existent" but a few contacted them via facebook and I did the same. After about 2 days to my facebook message the gave me a Spanish call center number that I called (I used skype cost me like $1us for the 30min call) Seemingly helpful the person on the phone attempted to contact the hotel and told me that the the reservation department was closed and they would email them and get in touch with me via email/ phone. Two days later (so four days after me initial email) I get a response from my original email request stating: "The booking is under special terms and conditions, therefore no amendments are allowed and there is no possibility to cancel free of charge. We are sorry to inform you that it is not possible to agree with your request." So as last hail Mary I've emailed the hotel to see if there is anything I can do to change my booking, and that where I am, waiting to hear what they have to say. Im not that optimistic but its worth a try
  4. I stayed there in 2016 for three nights was ok, think the only problem was I had ants in the room also it was kind of pricey for what you get think I paid 1800baht per night. Good location tho and it is a descent option but for me Id only go if it was very cheap
  5. Thanks for that I've always wondered about these two, they always were the first options to pop up when I loaded up agoda around the nana area but the reviews always put me off. Still not convinced and probably well try Sawasdee Hotel next time but its nice to have options
  6. So used to always travel via Thai Airlines, but that was with my old job and on their dollar. So trying to save a little Im thinking of using this airline has anyone used them before? I know that they have no alcohol and you have to have a stop over i Brunei but anyone have anything to add? Service wise? Comfort? How was the airport?
  7. Very late but I liked Spot Light when I was there last year picked up girls for 2k 700bf even got offered long time at no extra as "she liked me" or it was late and we were both drunk. I Stayed at the Ramming lodge with was pretty good
  8. You could also stay in two different hotels 4 days near nana and 3 days cowboy. Working girls usually only care if that have to walk if you take taxis or uber no problems
  9. x2 for the Majestic SuitesI wrote a review in the Majestic Suites thread
  10. This is my August 2017 review of the Majestic Suites Room Type: Superior King Bed Duration: 2 day Cost: 1600 baht per day (via agoda) Would I return: Maybe? The Good: Location Good beds Clean Girlfriendly Room safe Security Friendly staff Cafe The Bad: Crappy wifi Bath room Door locks No on site pool/gym Busy hard to book The review This hotel is the number one recommended rooms for those on a modest budget for mongering, I for one like to save a bit on the room to have more money for “play” Most sites online or agoda referral sites as I’ll call em praise this on location staff and value for money. I am happy to report they are not wrong. Any problems I have with the hotel can be tolerated as the are not deal breaking This is one of the times I didn’t need early check-ins I got to the hotel at about 3pm after a welcome drink was on my way to my room. Quick test of the wifi was 4mbs down and 1mbs up but signal strength non-existent in room only the doorway had signal (when I check in there was another guest complaining about it) This might not be important to some but no matter how much fucking I do in Thailand there is always down time. I can’t fuck 24/7 and in those breaks I like to watch a movie netflixs youtube or surf the net this is very important for me. The net is needed not just entertainment but communication apps wechat or line to call the girls and message them. Having a sim card helped but I would still like a solid connection would have been preferred. The room is dated but functional and clean, I’d take clean over modern any day. Small complaint is the toilet, in the room the bath tub and the toilet were so close I had to side saddle or have one let in the tub to take a shit. My rooms lock on the door never worked first shot you have to try the key card a few time as the mechanism was not catching. This hotel is about location it’s at nana yes 50meters away it well take you 2mins to get to the plaza. 7/11 is about 100meters away. Its 2.5km away from sukumvit 24 massage girls and about 700meters away from Thermae. 300meter to vasu money exchange 200meters from the bts. Regret going to the fusion suites after this as the hotel offered a room for 1500baht for another night but I really wanted a room with better wifi and nearer to Thermae. (Fusion sucked balls) Conclusion TLDR This hotel ticks most boxes. Good hotel, good room, good price, great location crap wifi good staff (good security) Also pretty popular hard to book due to its popularity just found out they have a room for 1420baht superior queen.
  11. This is my August 2017 review of The Fusion Suites Room Type: Suite Single Room Duration: 3 day (one day Superior room and 2 days in deluxe room) Cost: 1300baht per day Superior room (via agoda) 1500baht for deluxe suite Would I return: Nope The Good: Price Girlfriendly Room safe Close to soi cowboy Bar/food on site Early check in The Bad: Not maintained and falling apart Shit wifi on higher floors Cost saving bull shit (explained in the review) No security No gym or pool Crappy housekeeping had to call front desk to get room made up The Review This was one of the biggest disappointments of my whole trip following the reviews from the online sites that now I believe are really just listing popular places to get the agoda referral money. The review I read was from 2013 (bargirlfriendlyhotels) and other listed as being quite nice to stay. I might be wrong but it might have been built in 2010 only 7 years ago. I had just finished a two night stay at the “majestic suites” (review coming soon) this had a good location for nana but I found that I had a preference for the freelancers at Thermae and this one being a little closer and having shit wifi at majestic suites a change of location was in order. I needed to book a hotel that I would return too in a few days as I was going to changi mi for 3 days and wanted to leave my suit case, hence why I returned to this hotel. The first night with early check-in (12.30pm) was in a Superior room and batman would fucking love this room. The room is poorly lit and it’s by design (likely done to hide the mold water leaks and other rundown features of the room). As online review on trip adviser say on the cheaper rooms the windows are covered with a pictures of forest. People write that they can’t understand why and I checked this out and it’s easy to understand. The rooms face a busy carpark and nobody wants to see your naked ass walking around the room. (This wasn’t a problem as I was going to sleep most of the day and have fun at night so it could be a plus or a minus) Wifi was about 5mb down and 1mb up just enough to watch youtube at 480p. I did notice that as a cost cutting measure some lights were disabled wire cut so they didn’t turn on tubes removed behind the mirrors so they didn’t have the back lighting. Exposed wires, mould and water damage but its cheap and can overlook it as this happens in old hotels in asia.Location is ok but and really the only this this hotel has going for it, 20min (1.5km) walk to nana 5min walk to cowboy (500meters) 25min (2km) from Sukhumvit 24 massage area. My first complaint was the bed while being a good size a king the base was broken near the bottom. So if one was fucking on the edge it would have squeaked like an old rocking horse in need of oil. My only other was the lack of security yes its girl friendly but the door is just left wide open and the dude that is meant to be manning the desk was always asleep. He was also not a security guard just a normal worker. After my first night I thought this was a passable place to stay as I had already book two nights more when I came back from my trip. Sure it was dark and you could fuck on the other side of the bed to get around the broken part and the lack of security I could make do I watch mma if there was any trouble I would just superman punch all the things. My return, I booked a slightly better room (deluxe) for my return as I would be there for two nights. The room was bigger the bed wasn’t broken there was a real window with real light unfortunately the wifi only worked when you stood next the door as the routers on my floor had been reset and staff didn’t know how to fix it. Still if this was my only complaint this would have been fine but it wasn’t. Apparently above my room was a room with a Jacuzzi and when it was used the water dripped into my bath room it covered the floor the toilet with used hot tub water. Looking at the roof this wasn’t new either there was evident existing water damage. Upon complaining I was told that they would ask the guy above me to stop using the hot tub and would clean the water I said fuck that I’d like a new room (although in a more calm manner) they told me that all rooms full and they could fix it for me tomorrow. I had to ask for a refund when a room magically became available on a lower floor but with a balcony still with shit wifi though. Conclusion TLDR Cheapish but for what you get not worth it. Place is falling apart bad retrofitted add ons like shower screens in the baths where water can’t drain. Not clean mould and exposed wires (flicking lights) and broken or badly maintained equipment leaking roof. Aircon gets shut off at midnight and you have to turn it on high to get it working again. Luggage storage is only free if you book another day with the hotel on pick up day. Avoid this hotel. (sorry about the blurry pics but they're all I got)
  12. Lol if they are tracking me Look he's going to his hotel .. then to massage parlor then back to hotel then to nana then back to hotel then back to nana and back to hotel then 711 Yes boys I had sex Three times
  13. This is my July 2017 review of the Aspen Suites Room Type: Suite Single Room Duration: 3 day Cost: 1450 baht per day (via Elvoline.com) Would I return: Maybe? The Good: Has a workable gym Good beds Clean Good wifi Girlfriendly Large room Room safe The Bad: Long distance to the main road Normally expensive 2100baht The review I had seen this listed on a lot of girlfriendly lists (bargirlfriendlyhotels.com seems to one of the best) and on the forums too but nothing recent with the last posts dated 2014. The list sites I pretty much bs too as they keep “updating the sites with 2017 update and are the same shit written copy and pasted so many times over. With this in mind I booked this for three days. So I arrived at the hotel at about 10.15am after getting my sim exchanging money and other shit you do when you first get to Thailand. Before I arrived (I booked my room when about 3 months or so before online when I saw then discounted room rate) I had requested an early check in king bed I completely understand that these were requests and no guarantees. I was fully prepared to wait till 2pm but when I got back the hotel after lunch and an extensive survey of the land at 2.15pm I was told rooms still not ready. I now drenched in sweat and tired as a mother fucker I say my sweaty ass down in the lobby to wait. (I wrote my trip report while I waited http://www.bangkok-addicts.com/forum/topic/7141-my-three-day-trip-report-17th-july-2017/ ) When I finally got my room it was like 3.15pm or so I was pleasantly surprised that even aged the hotel was in pretty good shape. The gym is okay better then most I’d say there was a bench press dumbbells and a few other machines still shit but better then most if you really want to work out. The pool was okay they can say they have a pool but its tiny and more a kid paddling pool then anything else. The kitchen not really a kitchen my room had kettle and a microwave no stove but I did have the cheapest suite they offered. The wifi was good 16mbs down and 6.5mbs up there was router in the rooms so signal strength was never a problem. The view from my window was pretty good to see pics. Never used the restaurant so can’t say if it’s any good. The security was ok when I brought a girl from Thermae back they checked ID and wrote it in book. (Although no call when she left) Location in bargirlfriendlyhotels.com review he says that its 500meters from nana it’s not it’s more like 800meters and the free tuk tuks are where never around when I wanted to go out or I was told that I’d have to wait 10mins (which was how long the walk was) Thermae is about 1.5km away so depending on the girl you pick up might have to taxi it back just something to keep in mind when getting a freelancer. Soi cowboy is 2km away and take about 20mins to walk. Sukumvite 24 where I usually go for my massages girls is about 3km away and takes about 35mins to walk. The nearest shops are 500meter at the shopping centre but if that’s closed the nearest 711 is on the main road 800meters away. For money exchange Vasu Exchange is on the main road about 1km from the hotel about a 15min walk. I like walking but you can easily get a bike to take you up and down the road for 20 -40baht. Conclusion Not as close as I would like but acceptable to the entertainment shops and train lines. It’s acceptable if you pay the 1450baht I did but not worth the 2100baht normal price I see now. Good three star hotel that has been maintained just a little far from the action
  14. Think its a lock in now 3 days should be good hey if I get bored I'll just book pay the $50 to go back to bangkok
  15. Thanks for that got some usefully information there :D
  16. So I'm playing my next visit and thinking about going to Chiang Mai, Bangkok to Chiang Mai via plane seems to be the best option as 10hrs + on a train or a bus doesn't seem like a good way to spend a day. Goal: Mongering/Shopping/Sight seeing Few questions: Any thoughts on airlines any advice currently looking at MyTravel Airways and Air Sylhet both return to Bangkok less then $100US Is it really cheaper? How is the "red light" scene? Any recommendations on anything from hotels places I should check out? Three day enough?(back to bangkok after) thanks
  17. Also might have just been by chance but when I landed at the airport and fired up the app it gave me 35 baht off each trip (for 6 trips) saying welcome to bangkok also there are promo codes on the uber bangkok webisite that can save a few $$
  18. I stayed here in 2016 October as I needed a place to bring a lady friend and I wanted it nicer then the omni tower rooms are a little small but as a last minute booking only cost me $45US didn't use the pool like I wanted to or see much other then the room but it was clean quiet and comfortable. I'd return but only if you can get a deal like the one I got the first time its a little far from the action imo
  19. +1 got uber got ripped off a few time till i fired up the app and never looked back
  20. Bit late but I stayed there ones for only 1 night, last year in October The good- Close to the action big rooms with safe kitchen sitting room quite cheap Oh and its had a good view The Bad - Couldn't get the Internet to work very dated like 70s like, cig smell in rooms Personally I wouldn't stay there again unless desperate
