8 hotels that said lady guests are ok ;)
atlaspopovic replied to phrozenflame's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
I´ve paid fees at Sukusol and Amari Boulevard. But think the big issue is when you have to pay for the second guest. -

Great info! Thanks for the effort. -
Dynasty Grand has balconies. Might be a little bit pricey for you though.

Hotels that are ok with 2 girls?
atlaspopovic replied to BB66's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
I brough three girls to my room at The Continent Hotel, no problem. Some hotels only allow the two persons in a standard room, email the ones you're interested in and ask. -
Big Mama Pizza & The Game
atlaspopovic replied to Gibsons1's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
How much did pay for the pizza? If you want to splash some money another night try Medinii restaurant at the 35th floor at The Continent Hotel (at Asok junction). They have a deal with free flow of pizza, pasta (and I think one main dish from the ala carte), dessert, beer, wine and cocktails for 999 baht. The food is definitely ok but the view and the setting is great. Just make sure you reserve a table by the windows. I spend a few nights at Continet Hotel last year and can really recommend it. GF, great location and good value (although not cheap). Don't know why it's overlooked in our community. -
Terminal 21 Food Court
atlaspopovic replied to Gibsons1's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife
The food court on the upper level is more street food-like and is cheaper and more crowded. If you're not that into Thai food try the fried chicken with rice (add th sauce yourself). It's basic, cheap and always a safe option. -
Getting an infamous Asian haircut

So... no BJ during haircut? Only afterwards? -
sofitel sukhumvit or Pullmann Grande
atlaspopovic replied to pointplace's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
Also Sofitel has a way bigger and better pool area. I would go with Sofitel. If you want to allocate your baht better (disregard this if you are Norwegian ), Bangkoks best value hotels are in the in the 2000-2500 baht range. Not much of a difference in rooms/service/locations compared to Sofitel and Pullman. Check out Dynasty Grande and Hotel Icon. I've stayed in all four mentioned above and sure, Sofitel is the best. But not worth the money. -
Years ago I ended up, on a couple of occasions, in a real trashy basement. Usually asking taxi drivers to take me to a place that's "open late". Every time they took me a run down, smallish, basement where the girls were sitting on a stage with numbers on them. No disco, no dancing just a bar with expensive liquor. First time I ended up in this place must have been 2004 and last time maybe 2013. Every time way to drunk to even barely remember where the "bar" was. Anyone know which place I am talking about?

Many international channels on the tv? How is the WIFI?

Ok thanks for answers mate! Actually don't think its especially dangerous in Khlong Toy, just a lot of real poor people packed in a tight space. I've actually been thinking about staying at that hotel since it seems to be a great hotel for small amount of baht. But the location has put me off and I've chosen hotels closer to BTS or the action. How much did you pay for it and was is guest friendly? Take care!

Hotel Novotel Ploenchit Sukhumvit
atlaspopovic replied to Smartman's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
Thanks for sharing! Never lived there but the location is as good as it can be. How was the pool? It looks i bit small/boring which is a deal breaker for me. -
The reviews are very mixed. Look att TripAdvisor and a lot of the reviews are bad. Don't know if it's GF, but until we know more Inwould chose Aloft any day of the week.

Soi 11 Hotel vs AIRBNB
atlaspopovic replied to Rainville's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
I would be reluctant to use AirBNB i Thailand. If i´m not misstaken, short-time rentals (less than 30 days) are not allowed in Thailand meaning that the rental is illegal. It probably doesn´t mean that you could be fined but there can be hassles that you want to avoid. Someone correct me if I´m wrong. Another thing. The apartments looks amazing but do you really need them that big? You are paying for a bedroom that you don´t need, for that kind of money you can have a really nice room in a 5 star hotel. -
best cocktails in BKK
atlaspopovic replied to ladedaa69's topic in Restaurants, Places to Eat and nightlife

Three minutes by foot, so no problem at all. Not many hotels are closer except Rumchitt, Miami and Westin.

Where else to stay in BKK?
atlaspopovic replied to odddna's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
That depends on what kind of bars you are looking for? Centre Point Silom is only a few BTS-stops from Patpong and that scene. Other great bars in the area: - Bamboo bar at Oriental hotel. Legendary high end jazz bar with great drinks. Partied with the Red Bull family there last year. - Sky Bar on top of Lebua Hotel. Great views. Expansive drinks and lots of tourists. - Jacks Bar. A cheap dive with great river views. Great vibe! My favorite bar in Bangkok. - Soi Nana (not to be confused with NEP). A small cluster of hipster bars close to Hua Lamphong. - Jam. Just south of Surasek BTS. Small friendly artsy place. Has lots of concerts and events. -

Where else to stay in BKK?
atlaspopovic replied to odddna's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
I really like Silom seaside, the area around State Tower (Lebua Hotel). It´s close to BTS but also a part of the old town with lots of small shops and street food. Also next to the river so you can explore all the sights (and Chinetown which is in walking range). Centre Point Silom should be in within your price range, great value for money! -
I can second the cooking class, a real good experience. Great fun to see all the chinese who didn´t cook much, they only took pictures of the food and each other. Recommended! One of my favorite things in BKK is Rama IX Park. You have to take a taxi to get there, but it´s great. Bangkoks biggest park, beatifuled landscaped and lush. Go there in the afternoon and visit the big Train Market (Rod Fai, Bangkoks by far best night market), they are right next to each other.

The pool is not heated, so if its not in the sun all day (which it´s isn´t) it gets pretty cold. But this is the standard in Bangkok, lots of freezing pools.

Any one stayed in omni tower recently?
atlaspopovic replied to rock84's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
Are specifically looking for serviced apartments? Is the kitchen important for you? Because if you can settle for a normal hotel, your options are endless. I´ve stayed at Hotel Icon, Soi 2, a couple of times. Great location (close to Nana but real quiet), girl friendly, new and fresh, great rooftop pool, decently sized rooms, free drink tickets and BTS tickets at arrival. Approx. 2000 baht. Most value for money that I´ve found in the area. -
Grand president hotel, guest friendly?
atlaspopovic replied to rock84's topic in Hotels & Accommodations in Bangkok
Haha. I've got good memories from there. I brought 4 ladies with me and it wasn't a problem. The night manager looked at me in awe when the girls showed him their id:s. Good memories!
