It has been over four years since I have been to Bangkok due to Covid restrictions. Made a trip to Angeles City in April, this year. Now I am doing a BKK/AC trip in October. Have no idea how the taxis operate from Suvarnabhumi now. Last time I had to go down and take a computer ticket and get a taxi, if I remember correctly. Can someone give me some latest to do list since I arrive at midnight and want to get to the hotel on Soi 24 safely.

I am also planning to come the last week of October, staying for six days and then going to AC. 

My hobby is serious photography(not smart phone, with real professional cameras and lenses). So mostly during the day I book several one day trips and shoot pictures at several venues. But I am always looking for newer places that include exotic food places(not the one for tourists) like the large street foods, where I can even do a video of their cooking, landscapes, monuments, birding etc.

I see mixed results online. Any experiences and any recommendations? Is it anything like Akane (I wasn't impressed)?

I have heard that Sweet Mango on Soi 24 is good. I am planning to visit the place next month, 

18th Nov, BKK staying at the Holiday Inn near Soi 24. Leaving to Angeles for 10 days on the 22nd. 

I booked there for my November stay. I have always stayed at the Majestic Suites near Nana. Hope fully this is a better choice. Also I like the street food near Soi 22.

BKK from Nov 18th through the 23rd and then off to Philippines, four days in EL NIDO and 5 days in AC

I have bought Cialis from online pharmacies in the US, but were above $200.00 for 16 tabs. But I am getting scammed by this stupid assholes everyday trying to cell Viagra and Cialis. I have probably blocked more than 200 phone numbers, but still they come up with new numbers and I keep blocking. That said, I have bought Kamagara tab and Jelly from Philippines. Ur better off using Grabtaxi to the airport, just make sure you flick the switch over to taxi and not private car. I found Uber always had a 1.5 surge on whenever l tried to use it.

 

Grabtaxi also works well in Manila and Cebu. Its in Pattaya but l have never used it there.

Sorry, I am a bit lost here. What is Grabtaxi? Is it the same metered taxies that have the green and yellow color? I am going to Manila after BKK. But I am very familiar with Philippine.. So I get picked up by the hotel car.

Follow signs to taxi stand on lowest level. Choose machine for type of trip local, luggage, people. It'll tell you what stall number your taxi is waiting for you at.

 

There can be tolls to sukhumvit area. Usually 75 baht total (2 tolls). If it's early morning I mention no traffic no need tolls, but I leave it up to driver. Sometimes tollway will be faster.

 

There is a legitimate 50 baht surcharge from airport.

 

Total cost with tolls and surcharge and meter usually less than 400 baht to sukhumvit.

 

On the way back to airport a bit after midnight no tolls, no surcharge, cost me less than 300 baht meter.

 

Stay away from the taxi guys inside the airport and use the taxi line and machine outside and you'll save some baht.

Thanks for the detailed routing to the taxi stand. I guess the mistake I made before was trying to negotiate the fare with agents inside the arrival area. Could you please explain a bit more on the machine? For example, I have luggage and my destination is Nana Plaza. So what should I be using? Thanks in advance.

I have always stayed at Majestic Suites except one time. Way back in 2008, my buddy convinced me to stay for couple of days on phetchaburi road, can't remember the hotel name which was amistake. We had to smuggle a girl in, as the security was very strict. I like the Nana area due to action and thai food availability
