  1. If your stomach is super sensitive or you have digestive issues; practice preventive medicine.G o to your local health food store and get some supplements. 1. Travelers Probiotics http://www.thehealthyhomeeconomist.com/using-probiotics-for-healthy-traveling/

    2. Get a Fiber Supplement and take daily

    3. Consider adding Digestive Enzymes with meals, simple fix maybe try a chewable first.

    4. Get a small bottle if Activated Charcoal. In the event of symptoms,at first chance take it. Activated Charcoal can work well if taken soon after first symptom.

If all else fails,go to one of the many convenient Thai Pharmacies and get a stronger remedy.

I also have a sensitive system and after 3 trips, not gotten sick.

Enjoy and Eat what you want when you want, you will be fine.

  2. Thanks for sharing and I will make the trip to 'One Fine Day' on my next journey to Bangkok. I love all types of Massage and my experience is you get the best Massage Therapy from shops that stick to Massage only; although there can be wonderful exceptions. I usually stay in the lower Sukhumvit area on Soi 8 and my favorite Massage Therapy shop is Ananya Massage. Jenny gave some of the best Thai Massage I had on my last trip, but New and Pam are also very good and strong.

  3. Yes, so right. The whole process took 1.5 hours. Making subsequent appointments becomes easier once you are in the system. I had an issue come up with my left hand after an aggressive Oil Massage. Being a Massage Therapist myself, hand injuries are a big concern. Called the Hospital, spoke with someone within a few minutes to make an appointment for the next day. Went in to see a Hand Specialist, had a Consult with the Doctor, took 3 X-Rays, prescribed some medicine. This appointment took 1 Hour, 15 minutes.

    Excellent Service again.

  4. This trip my US Doctor recommended I get a Test for my Liver called a Fibro Scan. I went to the Bumrungrad Hospital website at;  https://www.bumrungrad.com/ and started the process. Got a quote 7000-8000 THB,made the appointment and was surprised at how easy and reasonable it was. When you go to Bumrungrad the first time, you have to go into Admissions and fill out a few forms and provide a copy of your Passport. This took about 15-20 minutes. Left to another floor to see the Doctor for a Consult, proceeded to another exam room to have the test, administered by the Doctor and the results were printed out promptly. Total Cost; 7,465 THB. I am sure it would have been double or more in the US,as not covered by my Insurance Plan. My Liver is in great shape and now I know for sure.

  5. I am sure there are many of you that have gotten Dental work done in Thailand and have good Dentist to recommend that are less expensive than this one. The website is;  www.asavanant.com Take the Skytrain to Thong Lor,stay on the Odd Number Soi Side and it's a short walk, you can see the sign when you get to the Big Intersection.

  6. There are many good pharmacies in Chiang Mai. I went to Boots, near the Tapae Gate. Probably more expensive that some, but got excellent advice from a Pharmacist.
