About 45 minutes if traffic is light there are 2 main routes to Sukhumvit if you get a good driver who uses a traffic app he will hopefully use the quicker route. Don't forget though Friday is a bad day for traffic even with a heavy case ARL would be a better option.

A lot of people use BFS they charge 900 baht a person for fast track meet and greet.

For short term tourists staying in LOS less than a month the DTAC Happy Tourist SIM card is the best. Available at 7-11 and any mobile or DTAC shops. Only 49 baht and very easy to navigate even for internet idiots. Top up with either 50, 100, 200 or 300 baht depending on your expected usage. I topped mine with 100 baht and at the end of my 4 day trip I still had a balance of 28 baht when I left LOS.
We stayed a month my son's phone was tetherd to mine, he was streamng cartoon's i was watching tv using filmon even watched FA Cup final whilst waiting for our flight back to UK total cost 400 baht for a month including internatonal phone calls and sms.
Still had credit when we left, plenty of good deals around its all down to personal prefrence what company you use.

Do these taxis they get use the meter or do they try to get you to do a flat rate?
Personally, if I were to stay in a hotel in that area, I'd stay on soi 8. It's a much nicer soi in my opinion.
I would presume meter i have never stayed in a hotel in ths soi only drink beer and catch up with few freinds.
Never botherd to look to see if driver sets the meter just seen plenty of taxis coming up the soi dropping off and picking up.
I will be more observant next time but would think if a flat rate they would phone a taxi driver and not walk down the end a hail a taxi.
-
Which is exactly what you'll be doing when you go to get a taxi upon leaving.
Not so the hotel will send someone to sukhumvit rd to call a taxi up for you, trust me been going up this soi for over 15 years. :)

Yes i have seen many taxi drivers drop off pick up at maxims day and nighttime.

Air Con 240 Baht for 24 Hrs,
Cable TV 120 Baht for 24 Hrs
Towel rental 120 Baht
WiFi 80 Baht for 24 Hrs
So what seems a good deal ends up quite expensive, you can go for a cozy package. All above cost 370 Baht internet booking 440 Baht walk in price.

The food there is okay nothing great had better for cheaper in BKK, but does anyone know about the WIFI in Terminal 21? And what you need to do to sign up?
All you have to do is show the information desk on the ground floor a copy of your passport.
You are then given a username and password.

No Idea Suk soi 22,The Sportman Suk soi 13 and Mulligan's Suk soi 11 sell Magners on draught.
I had a few pints at all the above bars best pint was definitely at the Sportsman, seem to keep their draught beer better there.

Try using this app,https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dom925.trainsity.bangkok i think it works well good if your a first timer.
DescriptionFind your way around the city of Bangkok using the high resolution vector maps of the BTS, MRT and Airport Rail Link train network. The maps have small file size footprints but with many levels of zoom and can work offline without connecting to the Internet. Users can click the train station labels to open Google Maps or Google Street View, where they can use all the functions of the Google apps to visualize the surrounding area and/or perform routing for directions -
Looks like the Pattaya-Addicts forum is completely down this morning. I get this error:
Pattaya Forum is currently unavailable
Back soon, need to do a restore

I got an email from one of the mods today it said.
We have an issue with around 5% of members - some server fault.
We are doing all we can to fix it.
You will need to bear with us a couple of days longer I think while a backup is installed.
-
I let the mods there know. I'll get back to you as soon as I hear something. They are aware of the problem and are working on it.
Thank you.

Check the times, Express to Phaya Thai is only once an hour now on the half hour. If you miss it by minutes it's not worth waiting nearly an hour for the next. Consider Taxi or City Line.
I use this app good for checking ARL train times.

My flight arrives in BKK at 7am Monday morning. I'm seriously thinking about the sky train.
If I take the express from airport I would change trains from express to city line then change again at Phaya Thai to get on BTS to Nana?
Just take the express to Phaya Thai then the BTS to Nana, not worth going via Makkasan.
Bangkok Immigration Fast Track Service
in Transportation & Travel

i normally arrive between 3 pm and 4 pm longest wait in the last 6 years 15 minutes most of the time clear immigration within 5 minutes.
Defiantly walk quickly you cam pass a few hundred people that way dont forget there are 2 immigration areas if one is busy check the other area which is about 400 meters away.
