We had need to go up to Bangkok on Monday and rather than dash back we decided to stay over night. A friend who was going with us suggested the Dream Hotel situated on Sukumvit Soi 15. As soon as we arrived I knew it was the right choice, it is what I think you would call a 'designer hotel' and the staff were excellent to match.
Whilst having a superb foyer and a huge spacious dining/breakfast room, the standard bedrooms are not large but have been designed from start to finish. You immediately feel comfortable all lights are controllable the flat screen TV was let into the wall with a slim line DVD player below. The wardrobes all have hidden lights when you open the doors with ample hangers, a safe, sleepers and dressing gowns.
There is a well stocked fridge, a glass top table, and two drawers equipped with a coffee making paraphernalia along with beer, spirit, wine and champagne glasses. A bowl of fruit.
The curtains are fully lined black-out ones that let very few chinks of daylight through, to compensate this once you have turned the lights off there is a special low glow switch which will give the room blue 'Mood" lighting, you have to experience it to understand when I say, if you have a lady with you hang on to the bedsheets as your in for a ride. Speaking of the bed it and the bedding were the most comfortable I have ever experienced in any hotel.
The breakfast was an excellent buffet affair with a fresh egg station, and did I mention how well trained the staff were? When we went out in the evening to eat, we asked them how to get somewhere they asked the name of the restaurant, then found the number, phoned it, got exact direction to them then called a taxi and ensured he understood their instructions of where to go.
The total price for this on agodawas 35 US an absolute steal when the lass said to me as we left; I would like to stay here again please.
We did not go fully prepared as it was a spur of the moment thing but here are a few pictures.
