I second Chatuchak -- lots of clothing wholesalers there, but I don't remember if I've seen knick knacks (wholesale). I've also walked through a couple of wholesale markets in or around Chinatown, but I can't remember exactly where.

nearly all of the stalls at chatuchak market will wholesale stuff to you if you order enough from them

would ornaments ect you are best getting from chang mai

thats where a lot are made

For my next trip, Ive tried emailing hotels that gave me promotion prices and I enquired whether I could get the same price.

 

The Accor Grand Sukhumvit in Soi 6 said they would give me a discount (but not promotion rate) and will charge 1000 baht less for a room at 2800 baht.

 

Im trying out a few other before I arrive in February before I commit.

 

It is certainly worth a try to email quite a few and tell them the price you want to pay. This approach has enabled me to get a room in Pattaya for 1000 baht per night (Its a 1800 baht per night room).

what hotel in Pattaya is giving you this discount seems like a good deal

spent a few nights there ealy this year

had a room at the back but it was near where they have 4 x acon fans outside and with the noise

couldnt sleep

so went down to reception and asked for a room move i told there was none available

so told them i would move all my stuff down to the lobby and sleep on the soffa

they soon found me another room

as ive said befor ill never go there again

but you must try it for yourself all part of the game of going to bangkok

Has anyone stayed at the nana hotel in bangkok recentily and what is it like to stay their and is is worth staying etc etc, and can you take more than 1 or 2 etc girls to your hotel room if I was that lucky.
