Hi all, I’m wondering if you know any breakfast spots along Sukhumvit (soi 4 - Soi 33) that serve Bircher muesli, granola toast sourdough etc. The bacon and eggs meal is just too much for me in the morning.

Hello again Blackline, I didn't even know there was a separate sim fee from the data fee until this trip. My current sim expires in Sept24, gonna be cutting it close if I'm able to come back and use same sim. Didn't even know about app til now, gonna download and check it out.
Do you use Esim or You buy a sim from a booth and add data on app your self?
I've always just went to a booth and got a sim/data plan there. This trip paid 100sim + 482 30day/unlimited. Last year 100+250, thinking i went to the wrong booth this time or rates could have just gone up.
At the moment I use a physical Sim but the next time I’m up there, I will swap to an esim.

OK ! My wrong I was thinking about Soi 7/1! I will try this one out as well! 😋
This restaurant is called Krua Khun Puk is one of my favorites. The Pad Thai Goong, Penang Curry with prawns and the coconut smoothies are superb. I highly recommend it, even though you do have to queue up in the heat.

While I've stayed here several times and can highly recommend it for being super convenient and girl friendly, I'm not sure that it would qualify for 4 or 5 stars - mostly due to the lack of services provided at that tier. Overall though the room is great and spacious and the staff never bothered me.
I would recommend this hotel as well. It’s one of my favourites and Soi 8 is really full of action these days. I just saw a craft pub open up recently. That looks very enticing. It’s also a short walk to the BTS Nana station.

Radisson blue near asoke BTS. Its not the best 5*, but for the price, its a very good place (around 100 baht/ night). Its depend on the date
rooftop, swimming-pool, breakfast... everything ok.
and its VERY guestfriendly
This is one of my favourite hotels as well. The pool and amenities are excellent and so the quality of the rooms. It’s a short work to BTS Asok and surrounding areas. For a five star hotel, the price is generally pretty good.

I use AIS and I’ve never had a a problem in Bangkok and Pattaya. I have a prepaid mobile which I’ve kept over a couple of years. They have very good promotions during my stay and often top up at good prices. The app is very easy to use and topping up is a cinch. and more importantly, the data speeds are outstanding.

I take the airport rail link train to Phaya Thai and then the BTS Nana and head to the hotel. Next stop is Krua Khun Puk on Sul 11/1 for Pad Thai Goong and a coconut smoothie. Then off to Nana Plaza to catch up with my regulars. I always keep my prepaid Sim and top up during in between periods to keep the phone number. You only need to up ฿20 to keep the Service active.

The buffet at the Westin on Sukhumvit was a favourite pre-Covid. I’m not sure whether they’re still doing it but it’s worth a try. I’ve also enjoyed the buffet at the Pullman Hotel down the road from Soi Cowboy. The Sheraton Hotel also was renowned for its buffet, although I have never tried it. I would also have a look at the Marriott hotel just passed Soi 4, they’re quite well-known for their buffet for breakfast and dinner, it is pricey though.
