For Mongering there arent GoGo's like in Bangkok so unless you look via TF or chance it at Massage Parlours the options are probably pretty grim. I am sure something decent can be found on TF though.

As a city in general? Absolutely loved it and made for a great change of pace from Bangkok to re-charge the batteries. Its relaxed, beautiful surrounding scenery, incredible food. I would absolutely reccomend visiting for 2-3 days to break up a Bangkok trip. Let me know if you would like any hotel or restaurant reccomendations.

Thanks for that. I love pool so will add that to my list.

I am also going to be a newbie to Thailand but will leave before January. I have heard that is easy to make friends with other tourists.
