LOL really? Do thais consider rabbits as special/holly animals or something like that?

No. In fact, as far as i know, in rural areas they kill rabbits (but for harvests protection, i think). But, for urban people, rabbits are seen as pets.

Ugh, can even imagine myself eating that. I guess the western world make me too soft :P

    LOL

I thought the same, yes. Maybe the same (or the opposite, i don't know) some thais could think about westerns eating rabbits (my ex thai GF thought i was a monster!)

when you realize it's really just a grocery / general store and use it as such a few times the novelty gets thin.

And then there the market in / around Patpong, which is all tourist driven and an annoyance.

I am not an expert on night markets (tjhat's why i created this thread), but the ones i know are not groceries at all.

The last one i  visited, for example, in late 2019, in Petchaburi road (about 800 m from Platinum) was very far from that.

I just don't think I'll be eating any of the deep fried larva...

The other food like chicken and stuff looks freaking amazing!

The far i went was deep fried grasshoppers, and i loved it. That goes fine with some beers, i think. Larva and scorpions, well, not yet.

I like night markets. Even Chatuchat, sometimes i got there Friday evening, because you dont melt down with the heat.

Last night market i went to (pre-covid) was at Petchaburi Rd, not far from Platinum. I have heard some nice night markets have closed because of Covid and i know some ones are not trendy anymore. Also, some are more thai-oriented and not so funny for farangs/tourists. Oh, and some are too far to go, if you are a tourist and stay near the center.

Right now, wich ones would be on your top 5?

  5. In the past, i used to visit Panthip Plaza a lot, also some stalls in front (inside what i believe it is a kind of mall, in a way connected (?) to Indra Regent Hotel), where i looked for computer/phone repairs and spare parts, etc, and also for audio replicas (specially on Panthip Plaza ground floor.

I believe Phantip Plaza is "dead", or already converted in something else. The vendors in front, are they still there? Where is the best place to look for audio replicas (or not), not so expensive?

  6. I have some THB with me from last travel, so i dont need to exchange at the airport. Probably i will buy a SIM card.

Take a taxi to hotel ( never took the airport link train, i think is would not be so easy, with bag).

If i arrive late afternoon/early evening, i go for dinner and back to hotel and sleep. If not, shower and go for some shopping (used to go to Pantip Plaza but i've heard it is another thing now; maybe MBK, Terminal 21). After dinner, maybe some night market.

One the second day/night, things will be different (entertainment for sure) but OP asked about the fist 6 hours.
