On the subject of taxis is it possible to pay for your taxi from the airport (Swampy) by credit card at the airport before you go?
I've never seen regular taxis accept credit cards here, but you can use credit cards for AOT limo at BKK airport. It's more expensive (about $30 for SUV option to downtown), but reliable, clean, and convenient.
