Check out The Old Other Office in Patpong 2. It's under the covered walkway.
Is it this one? https://maps.app.goo.gl/aWFokyiDCFWj3ULH9

In my experience Grab has the most drivers and Bolt is little bit cheaper.

Interesting, can you share the AirBnB link?

If you like to just have a look at what is Bangkok looking like now check out this Youtube channel (no it is not me): https://www.youtube.com/@bsbangkoklife

The problems from Bangkok Addicts seem to have migrated to Pattatya addicts 😬

Looks like it was a tough forum move. Seems to be working fine again now 👍.

I was going off the short time hotels link, but it was easier to quite the list (they both gave the location as Soi 7)
It has been corrected.

Sleep with me appears to be on soi 44, not soi 7
at least that is where the location link takes me to
I know longer update that list you quoted in the post but I do try to keep this online list up to date https://nsfw-adult-bkk.glitch.me/#shortime-hotels
Correct the soi 7 to soi 44/2
If you go there let me know how it was and if the info e.g. price was correct.
Cheers.

I'm glad to see there is interest in doing a meetup.
Let's do something in the middle of next week. Maybe Tuesday or Wednesday? It might only be a couple guys at first, but that's fine. Should still be fun. If I organize it regularly, more people will begin to join.
Anyone who is interested in coming along should PM me. I'll make a line group.
I'm interested 🙂

@hbit I created a quick example website to host the BKK info lists like short-time hotels and BJ bars
http://nsfw-adult-bkk.glitch.me/
If there is sufficient interest I will make a better version.
To everyone please let me know what you think and/or what else you like to see on there. At the bottom of the page there is also a link to Bangkok Addicts

Does anyone have a recommendation for a short time hotel in the Patpong area? I used the Strand Inn the other day and it was 600 baht. The room was nice for a ST place, but the price is too high.
It has been awhile (pre-covid) that I was there but if I remember correctly Niagara hotel has short-time rooms for 300 Baht
https://goo.gl/maps/iGt3ET5owx4GVT2F8
If you visit there would appreciate an update on the price and quality.
Then perhaps we can change the short-time hotel list for Sukhumvit to list for Sukhumvit and Patpong or turn it into a short-time hotel list for Bangkok.Linking to this list is a bit of a pain in the backside :).
As a quick fix I have created a webpage.Thinking of creating a webpage with info about BKK adult info :). Would that be of interest?

Hi guys,
I am traveling from Europe in June for 32 days.. I didnt know about the 30 days restriction. Should I go for a visa just for 2 days more? Actually 1 day more because the last change of the day is gonna be when i will be travelling back...
Since your from a European country it should be no problem to get a 30 day extension after you arrived.
For most EU countries you get your tourist visa on arrival and then you can go to the immigration office (they have one in most major and tourist cities) to get a 30 day extension. I think the cost is about 35 Euro. -

Does anyone know if the AIS kiosks at Survarnahbumi do esim activation for the 30 day traveller package?
My iphone is setup with eSIM as my main service with AT&T in the USA. My thought was to buy a SIM at Survanahbumi so I wouldn't have to carry two phones.
Now that eSIM can be setup before I arrive in Bangkok, I'm thinking I should leave the eSIM slot free for temporary accounts when traveling and keep my US service on the physical SIM.
No experience with it but I think it will be no problem see: https://www.ais.th/esim/en/

The short-time hotel next to Soi Cowboy is open again.
I forgot the price for the room 😖 silly me 🙂.
I think it was 300 THB for 1hr and 400 THB for 2 hrs.
Here is the location and image of the front of the hotel: https://goo.gl/maps/GqXdMCC3cKndMLZi9
If anyone else has been here recently could you let me know when that was and what you paid? Thx.
Also does anyone know the name of this place?

I used S44ROOM Sukhumvit Soi 44 this week. One soi away from Sleep with Me that i had been using but larger room, much cleaner and a better bathroom. paid 600 for a room with a balcony (but my gik wouldn't play out there).
https://www.facebook.com/S44ROOM/
100thb more than Sleep with Me but well worth it. i expect this will be my new go-to. You are renting the room for the night so no time limit and they had a key drop by the side door so you do not need to return to the front desk when you leave.
Thanks Bob.
Is that a fixed room rate that you can book at the desk when you arrive?

I just booked everything so I just need a go for the Test&Go program. The hotel is very hopeful that the quarantine measure are gone by the time I arrive but I havent read any news which would mean a easier entry as early as beginning of April. I'm hitting ground on April 4th so I would love it but seeing as there is now news as of now will probably mean still a first day quarantine.
@ Cluster: I would love to hang out and swap stories with a couple of cold ones. DM me if possible and lets see how we can stay connected!
Quarantine is only until your test results come in so it's likely to be much shorter than 24hrs and you probably need a rest after a long travel day anyway 🙂

I was looking at the AIS traveller SIM deal. It's online buy deal only but the plans look interesting. Probably a little bit on the expensive side but I like having no hassle when it comes to these kind of things.
I'm travelling for a month and mainly will be in Bangkok so the 30 day plan seems perfect for me (maybe a little bit expensive but still). 30 days, 300GB, 5G for 1250 baht. It's also a ESIM so easy for me as my phone is capable. Also the benefit of having it straight away, before departure, seems great as I don't need to look for a kiosk or something similar at the airport.
Has anybody got any experience with this service?
The providers all have a booths at the Suvarnabhumi arrival terminal so you can easily get your sim on arrival.
Most hotels have wifi so you might not need a high speed connection check out the DTac, AIS and True websites for pre-paid and you probably can find a better deal. Personally I prefer unlimited internet over high speed internet. -

It seems that Uno Inn prices depend on the person at the desk a friend of mine was disturbed in the middle of his "session" that his time was up although the girl at the desk said 300thb 2hr same as I had when I visited for 2 hours without issue. He paid 200 baht extra because she say 500thb 2hrs. Then 5 min later another woman shows up and says he has to pay another 100thb because 2hr is 600.
The hotel is definitely not worth 600thb for 2hrs. For 300thb 2hrs it's ok but anything more is way too much.
Based on my friends experience avoid Uno Inn there are many others in the area with better rooms and service. I will avoid it from now on. Anyone else experience with Uno Inn?

Sorry for reviving an old thread. What places are generally best to get a SIM or does it not matter, are the certain ISPs you should stick with?
Many options I think all the big 3 providers are good. Have used 2 of them without issue in and outside of the city.
If you only need social media and no high quality video you could make do with the DTAC pre-paid 300THB for a month with unlimited internet albeit at a slow speed of 0.5Mbps

AIS, DTAC or True??

FYI There was a merger between DTac and True they still are separate brands but I suspect it will essentially be the same network, which could work out for the better.
