Just a heads up that Rajah Alley which conveniently connected Soi 2 and 4 is currently closed.
There’s a new property being built there and it looks like they turned this street into their entrance. Not sure if it’ll reopen after construction or not.
In any case, this makes the Nana DoubleTree a lot less convenient. I mean, still not terrible, but to get to Soi 4 you have to walk up and around the block via Sukhumvit Rd.

Such an awesome feeling!
I often fly Eva business from Singapore to New York via Taiwan. It's a really solid choice. Not the fanciest in the world, but the service is really friendly and the food is decent. I feel like Eva always has good value for money - especially if the same flight on SQ runs 50% more expensive.

Couple of us meeting on Saturday 1st July for a few beers and perhaps a Kapoo visit.
I’ll be in town then. Keen to know more.

When I get back, even my kid will have to stay out of school for 3 days just because I traveled (to any country). Such a pointless, random rule.
Will have to do the same in two weeks after I go to Jakarta.

Heading to BKK Feb 26-29. American from Singapore here. Was going for a work event, but it was canceled due to the virus, which frees up some time. Still going for a few meetings. Not complaining.
There’s no real sign of the virus in BKK from what friends and colleagues tell me. A little less crowded and people wearing masks. In Singapore it’s temperature checks at every office building, but nothing too crazy.

I stayed at a condo next door to the DoubleTree last week and the alley was closed. The Maison has put up a big metal gate - not sure if that will be mostly open or closed once the property is open, but last week they were laying paving stones in front of the gate so it was all blocked off by construction hoarding.
