Bangkok and Pattaya for few days in October.  10-17  first trip to Thailand,  9th or 10th trip to the Philippines.  Excited to compare the two..

Greets.  1st post here.   I'm a moderator over at Philippines Addicts board and while familiar somewhat with the Philippines I'm a total newbie when it comes to Thailand, Bangkok, Pattaya etc.  Looking for a decent hotel with soft mattress close to action and around 1500B or so.   Will be 1st trip to Thailand, so kind of excited and a bit apprehensive as well.   So, would appreciate any and all recommendations you will to give.  Thanks.
