I was hoping it would be ready when I landed on Aug 20!

I just stayed there 2 weeks ago and it is guest friendly, big rooms and nice place.

That was the Sukhumvit subway station you saw next to Asok BTS...the new train to the airport doesn't go anywhere near Sukhumvit, and the nearest station to Asok (Ratchada at that point) is near the Petchburi subway station a ways north of Sukhumvit.

If you look at the map the makkasan station is just up Asok from the Sukhimvit station beside the Phetchaburi station, Less than "a ways north" to me, just one stop. and yes it was the actual makkasan station, my taxi driver pointed it out to me.

I saw the station by the Asok BTS station, it wasn't too far from the hotel I was staying at, the only problem I see is my flights always arrive really late and leave early, so I would not be able to use it

I just stayed there for 4 nights, I got the sale rate 2000 a night with tax, nice as everyone said, girl friendly, never a problem. Internet was expensive and this was the only negative.

THat French restaurant was very expensive, 2 Canadian Clubs and coke was 470 baht, most I have paid anywhere, did not eat there.

I am thinking about this place for my next stay in February, thanks for the review.

I will be in on the 2nd september but gone again by the 6th, and back again at the end of September or early october. mainly just business but always mix in a day or 2 of mongering.

Arriving on sept 6, but heading to patts on the 10th.
