i will be in bkk arriving either 8th or 16th of october be in and around bkk and patts for about 2 weeks

beer garden on soi 7 doesnt do a english breakfast but the food is well above average and plenty of it several breakfasts with bacon eggs sausages etc

millard im the same this trip will be the earliest time i arrive 21.30 usually its 2400 to 04.30 for me its a waste of valuable mongering time to go to patts that late at night i always get a hotel on lower sukumvitt get cleaned up go to the beer garden have a couple of brews and a feed check out a few fl hopefully it will have calmed down a bit by june 15th

Due to the recent volatile turn of events in BKK, I'm skipping that leg of my trip. Better safe than sorry.

im considdering doing the same in june if it hasnt improved if thats the case it will be the first time iv not been to bkk on all my trips

i was wondering what the federal hotel is like http://www.federalbangkok.com/ thai websites might not exactly lie but they sure show a place better than it is in reality

i have stayed there several times last year they often had a 990 mid week special (not for friday saturday or sunday nights ),didnt when i rang them from Pattaya but when i arrived it was advertised out side it was a small comfortable room only drawback was it was right next to the bts but wasnt too bad for noise the first time i stayed there (march 09 ) i prebooked gave them my flight time etc (1am) they had a taxi waiting to take me to thier other (more expensive hotel ) city lodge on soi 19 for no extra cost

as long as they stay away from the nana asoke areas of sukumvitt 99% of us mongers should be ok

what i also love about sukumvitt is its sleezy but relativly safe

i always stay on sukumvitt first few years i always stayed at ruamchitt plaza but it was getting to run down for the price i love the fact i step out on to the street there is always some thing going on from street vendors to p4p girls giving you the eye as you walk past and you never know when your about to be made a iristable offer

couple of years ago i was on my last night in thailand it was 3am just kicked out this lt starfish (sugested she would prefer to go home early )im sitting out side the hotel having a beer and a smoke feeling pissed off cause its my last night and no real action when these 2 tidy average looking fl come along sit beside me and make me a offer for the 2 of them they said 3k lt i said only have 1500 left but i have a big comfortable bed ,damm awsome night got sucked and fucked to well after daylight paid them off at lunch time plus a tip of all my other forign currency ,6 months later im back and bump in to them in the beer garden another great night
