Chaweng is more varied with some bars, regular bars and a few gogos. Lamai has more lady bars. Far more and is more laid back. I prefer chaweng beach but Lamai nightlife.

 

I made a video from my trip to Koh Samui last year. No nightlife but gives you an idea of nice things to see during the day.

Thanks for info! Thought that Chaweng have best nightlife, but seems that Lamai have also very good parties.

Some hotels don't mind an early checkin if it's available.

But some of the hotels will ask an early checkin fee.

 

I don't know how late you arrive, but you still have to go through customs, collect your luggage, get a taxi, maybe hit up a trafficjam..

Perhaps you might arrive at, or just a bit before checkin time...

 

Indeed, send an email to the hotel, and they can tell you how they handle early checkin..

I will arrive there about 9-10am. I sent but no answer. Few hours wait in bar wont be disaster... :)

Good budjet (max $40/night) hotel from Chaweng? Near of beach, near of bars...? Going September or October.

Btw, any idea if there is available free early check-in? My flight arrives Bkk at the morning...

Look4fun, yes water temp in pool is nice.

Worse case book one night and see if you like it as doubt they be so full you could not extend stay

Yes gets sun during day and has few lounge chairs beside pool

How about water, is it freezing or swimmable?

Samui is getting worse these days. Still lots of nightlife in Chaweng and Lamai. If you've never been go and enjoy but be careful on the bike if you decided to ride. Lots of sand and crazy driver isn't a good combo.

There are some girl available on "main street", but very slim pickings.

I have stayed woraburi 3 times always was ok but pool was small but still great value on soi 4 i reckon but good luck for your search

Is sun shining to pool at daytime?

Nana hotel looks just good for me. Little bit like Flipper House Hotel in Pattaya.

Woraburi has small bar can order food aswell look at their website woraburi sukhumvit

Seems ok but have got some bad reviews...
