Yep, that kind of sums of up Tarntip. Just good massage in the middle of an otherwise full on p4p soi. 

Are girls actually impressed by the hotel you stay at if it's 5 star or close to? Any perks/cons as a result?

Staying close to where you intend to BF is a good idea tho, as some are clock watchers and all hate to walk.

I am thinking of booking this hotel for late January.  My flight arrives in the morning (7:00AM) and I would like to use the airport rail link to the BTS.  I am not worried about the distance of the walk from Nana BTS to the hotel, but I am concerned about safely walking to the Dawin with luggage in tow.  How safe is this walk? I mean safe in terms of not getting hit by a bus walking down Soi 4?

The top BJ bars are Star of Light (Patpong), Som`s Haven (Soi 14 at Asoke), Kasalong (Nana, Soi 6) and Wood Bar (Nana, Soi 7/1)

I`ve found Pachahara Suites Sukhumvit and The Dawin to be good value.

The BTS is great for getting around. Also the boats on the river for seeing touristy stuff. 

Nana Plaza and Soi Cowboy are the main red light areas along with Patpong. Lots of oily massage places can be found further sown Sukhumvit road (soi 24, 26 and more). The Huay Kwang district got the more upscale soapy massage places.

The Dawin and Pachara Suites Sukhumvit are good options and equal or better location than Omni Tower. 

Phachara Suites and the Dawin are both good.

Dawin Hotel or Pachara Suites Sukhumvit are both great and a good loation. Close to BTS and Nana Plaza.

Stayed there recently, the place is very nice. Still pretty close to Nana Plaza.

Only disadvantages I can think of is that the breakfast while ok is not a buffet and that the fridge was kind of small if you want to stack up some beer and stuff. 

The Dawin is a great location, very nice and reasonable price. Got both smoking and non smoking rooms.

Enjoyed eating at Monsoon and Stable Lodge in Soi8. I prefer eating thai in Thailand, but Stable Lodge Lodge also serves Scandinavian food (including "julegløgg") for any hungry vikings out there.

I enjoyed my stay there. Rooms are large and nice. Excellent location and ofc girl friendly. Good breakfast and no problems with the staff. I did not try the gym or other facilities.

Doing Patts first so will be arriving in Bangers on the 9th or 10th. Got a long list of mongerin` things to do  B)

Phachara Suites is a good place to stay and excellent location.

Buttviking,the map from your link has become my bible of sorts. I actually feel like i know the area some now. That should be stickied!(or maybe it is?).

 

After two days of browsing a hundred hotels of various prices ranges and wieghing locations out my eyes feel like they may explode. I can see a big quality difference between the 50 and 70$ a night. I finally decided and booked at pachara with tax and all 65$ a night. Bathtubs are soo handy! Thanks all again.

Phachara Suites is a good choise. Large rooms, good breakfast and excellent location.

Have a look at the map of massage places around Phrong Phong too, just one BTS stop from Asoke (Soi Cowboy) and two from Nana.

And almost forgot to warn you, avoid the upstairs sex shows in Patpong. You will be scammed.

Scoobydook, thanks alot. Many questions were answered on Buttvikings link. Wow, thanks. Ok, just one very plain question and definitely newb question. Is Sukhumvit Road hard to cross? That would wiegh in on choice of hotel. Seeing as massage parlors are spread a bit, i would be happy to be in the vicinity of soi 13. I'm more of a walking type and don't mind a little exercise. I can see using bts to patpong if i go there..

Easy enough, use the skywalks at the BTS. Be careful at street level.. traffic in Bangers is... crazy.

You should go to Patpong at least once if just to check out Star of Light  :D

All the massage places at soi22 are just one or two stops away with the BTS if you stay in Nana or close to SC (Asoke) so no worries.
