I thinking of going in Late April to Early May. From my experience there was no traffic in BKK during Songkran because everyone was off work. I would guess that traveling out of BKK could be a traffic nightmare. Last time I was in BKK for Songkran was 1988, so does anyone have any more current Songkran details? I also remember that a lot of girls would go back home in the north during Songkran, so there were less girls in the bars. Is that true these days??
