  1. I passed by last month and there were Indian (look like) guests.

I guess they have not changed their policy. I asked a travel agency to do an enquiry booking for a tour group and somewhere during the exchange of emails this came up......" Please note that this hotel operates exclusive contracts with other vendors to service specific markets and thus these rates do not apply to nationals of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan. We apologise for the inconvenience." And there is a joiner fee of 550baht for each extra guest.

  2. Hoping the hotel is guest friendly.

    Without joined fees.

Booked out for this month travel in pattaya.

Suggest for some good hotel in Bangkok btw nana and sukumit

I hope you are not South Indian. Bay Breeze has a policy of not accepting Indians.

I had stayed there on a couple of occasions and hand liked the hotel..... so I recommended it to a business associate who brought some of his staff there on a company trip. But he got a surprise when they were rejected at the hotel despite having reservations as his staff were from India. And it was stated on their website in fine print that the Bay Breeze Hotel do not accept customers from the Indian Subcontinent due to some vendor contractual issues bullshit.

This happened about 2 years ago and we have since boycotted it. I do not know whether they have changed this policy or it is still in practice.

  3. stayed there before, good hotel, just around the corner from the action :D

No balconies, you can't open a window or whatsoever.

All Majestic Suites rooms does not have balconies..... but those rooms facing the main road from Nana have double slider window panels and the end portion can be opened for ventilation if you want to smoke. Of course if you open them then you get the noise from the traffic coming in.

  4. Seafood is not as easily available now as more than 75% of the fishing vessels are stuck in port and not going out to sea due to some idiotic ruling by the government with regards to some licensing issues (some say the pressure is coming from IUU on the Thai Government)

The fishery ports are idle most of the time and workers have turn them into mini casinos to pass the time.

Many other workers in related industries are being let go and become jobless.

  5. Zen is quite good overall and it's in every major shopping center (ease of convenience). For authentic Japanese food, I'd then recommend Hanako on Sukhumvit 19. or you can always go to Thonglor Soi 13. There is a Japanese village with a whole array of Japanese food there.

Japantown is in soi 33...... but many of the shops there has seen better days and are on their last leg.

  6. I want to buy a second hand (unlocked) mobile iPhone 5-6 or Xiaomi. I've heard that M!BK is best? Anyone know any better

Any idea what price I'm likely to pay?

    Thanks

There is a rundown looking 3-storey building on Thanon Prasanaha Soi 1..... most of the units in this building deal with 2nd hand stuff and recycle them including mobiles.

  7. I stayed there last June 2014 for 2 nights.

I had booked a promotion package for 2 nights, that included breakfast, early checkin and transfer apt-htl.

The staff was very friendly, room was clean and quiet. wifi and a/c work good. Breakfast buffet was ok. And the most important this a great GF hotel, you can take back 2 girls together for 3some without any extra charge. GG and LB are welcome here.

PS. avoid Botan room style because are smaller.

The room does look a bit crammed and smallish.

  8. Phachara suites: I love this hotel to no end, but it's sometimes one of the worst walk of shame there is. The lobby is a long but not very large path from door to elevator, on your right the counter and on the left the sitting clients waiting for their room or whatever, and after a glass door the restaurant. And it's an hotel with enough non-monger visitor to count.

If that's not an issue for you, go for it, the place is awesome.

PS: note that they have a one guest per day policy. If you take a ST in the afternoon and another in the evening, they will ask you to pay 1000 bahts. If you come with 2 girls for a threesome be it ST or LT it's 1000 bahts for the third too. They sometimes don't enforce that policy (or don't even ask for ID of girls), but most of the times do.

I've been taught by the concierge to go by the staff entrance when I bring back puyings to my room..... out of sight and dun have to pay any joiner fees too. But I always remember to tip the concierge.

  9. What the ... ??? They are taking fingerprints at airport upon arrival? No way

Yes.... fingerprinting and mugshot is compulsory for all visitors now. This is also applied to Malaysia & Singapore due to some security agreement between these countries. I understand the data collected is shared amongst these countries.

  10. True Move is good in Bangkok look out for a tourist sim pack.

For short term tourists staying in LOS less than a month the DTAC Happy Tourist SIM card is the best. Available at 7-11 and any mobile or DTAC shops. Only 49 baht and very easy to navigate even for internet idiots. Top up with either 50, 100, 200 or 300 baht depending on your expected usage. I topped mine with 100 baht and at the end of my 4 day trip I still had a balance of 28 baht when I left LOS.

  11. (yes im a newbie)

Do Charoen require prescription for  sidegra or kamagra?

Whats the chance of police stopping me or showing up at my hotel?

Lol..... Charon is a family owned pharmacy that evolved from a TCM ...... and one of the owner's son is a policeman.

Sometimes you can see him in the shop when he's off duty.
