All,
I have travelled to BKK 5 times this year and have used the following taxi firm who are really great, always on time, fixed price, good English communication and great A/C cars. I highly recommend them - http://jjtaxiservice.com/

usually stay at hotels, but any reasons you prefer apartments over hotels? there are plenty of hotel options on Suk with pool, etc which helps alot with BKK's famous intense heat. If you must, try airbnb.com but i spot few posts say NO PROSTITUTES lol.
Hi,
Can you recommended any good 4* to 5* hotels near Soi 20/22? I stayed at the Landmark last February and found the rooms too small.
Thanks :)

Hi there :)
Can anyone recommend any good apartments near Soi 20 to 22?

hi there,
I decided to book a private taxi using http://jjtaxiservice.com/ and the service provided was great. I met the driver at meeting point 3. I think we went though 2 tolls and he he went around some side routes under the highway and away from Sukhumvit Road. He got me to the Landmark hotel in about 20mins. Overall a very smooth journey - cost me 800 baht. Would 100% use again.
Thanks

Friday at that time could see a lot of traffic jams so the price could be more.
Hi,
I am arriving Saturday Feb 14 @ 16:00.
-
just got downstairs - follow signs for taxi..queue up and take the ticket from the machine (in the pic above) and tell them the hotel.
You might want to print out he hotel name/address in Thai before you get there just in case.
Also- - there are tolls on the way to BKK. . .so tell the taxi driver "use the meter and I will pay tolls" Often times they do not want to use the metro because newbies argue about the tolls (75 baht)
have fun!
Thanks how much should I pay?

Hi,
I am planning on walking around Soi4 to Soi 11 during the day and night. Are these protest free areas? Are all the bars and clubs open as normal?

Hi,
Visiting BKK for the first time and wanted to know where to get a metered taxi from the airport and approx cost to Majestic Suites in Sukhumvit Road?

Hi,
I have changed hotels to Landmark on Sukhumvit Road and would like know if this area is still safe from protesters? Also, are the bars and clubs still open as normal? Is there still lots of working girls?
Thanks in advance

Insomnia Club is now called Insanity. It's closer to the Asok protest site, but you should have no problems.
ok thanks, Is Mixx and iBar in safe areas?
-
No reason to be concerned.
Thanks. I also would like to visit Insomnia club and iBar. Are these in safe areas?
-
hi again,
looking at the following the protesters seems to be close to my hotel (Majestic Suites) - Should I be concerned?
-
There are no protesters in that area. You'll be fine.
Is there any trouble near iBar or Insomnia/Mixx nightclub?
Thanks in advanced.

Not as many customers is a good thing? ;)

All,
I will be arriving in BKK 1st week of March, and staying at Majestic Suites on sukhumvit road. Does anyone know if this section is protester free and safe at night time to visit Nana, Insomnia and the Beer gardens?
What are the no go areas?
Thanks

800 baht including all the tolls. I normally meet the driver at meeting point 3 at around 4.30pm and he/she has me at my hotel in Soi 11 within 40mins.
