Sleep with me appears to be on soi 44, not soi 7
at least that is where the location link takes me to
Soi 44/2

I agree with Herrby. I live in a large one bedroom in 50m from the Phra Khanong BTS and absolutely prefer it to Asoke/Phrom Pong. Month to month rentals can be very difficult to find and it will be more expensive.

We had a great time. The bar area would be a great place to watch an event (like today's Melbourne Cup). Really enjoyed it

Yeah, there are so many great options. Soi 11 has everything, I often stay at the Grand President, a little worn around the edges but big rooms and no questions if you want to bring someone over for the night. And cheaper than the big name places, Great pool, full staff, good concierges. Soi 11 has lots of hotels, pubs, convenience stores, espresso places, groceries, bars, restaurants. Easy walk to the Sky train. Halfway between NEP and Soi Cowboy. Not far fromTerminal 21 too.
what's better than showing up at a hotel and the room is much larger than expected? can confirm, Grand President has huge rooms and great area to stay

gf took me for my birthday. she made reservations and we stepped out of the taxi and basically went straight to our table. Jay Fai cooking was fun to watch, the food and people watching were very good as well. because you need to make reservations well in advance or wait in line for hours i'm not likely to return but it was a great birthday surprise (especially when gf paid!). 10/10 great meal/BKK experience

I used S44ROOM Sukhumvit Soi 44 this week. One soi away from Sleep with Me that i had been using but larger room, much cleaner and a better bathroom. paid 600 for a room with a balcony (but my gik wouldn't play out there).
https://www.facebook.com/S44ROOM/
100thb more than Sleep with Me but well worth it. i expect this will be my new go-to. You are renting the room for the night so no time limit and they had a key drop by the side door so you do not need to return to the front desk when you leave.

If you're looking to get away from the standard lower Sukhumvit ST hotels then this is a great list - https://www.themacho.co/2020/open-map-hotel-and-motel-resort-style/
Some very smart places around the city if you're wanting to fuck somewhere a little more highend, but don't want to stay the night. But these aren't a budget option or close to Sukhumvit.
Places like this in Phuket, Hua Hin and Pattaya would be helpful to know if anyone knows of anywhere.
good stuff thx you. can i say, the Soviet Room at LOVE VILLA HOTEL was... unexpected

hoping to jump-start this topic. a list of ST hotels would be very useful at this time.
39 Inn Hotel is not terribly near Sukhumvit but it has everything you need: https://www.instagram.com/39innhotel/

I have HBO GO and want to watch Hard Knocks which appears to only be offered on HBO MAX. Do i have to VPN to US and pay or is there another possibly FREE way to watch?

I am dating an impressive new woman and struggling to find interesting things to do for dates when she asked if i would have a Christmas tree. i showed her the scene from Goodfellas where Henry brings home the tree ("Karen! I got the biggest one they had") and she told me about a 3 story Christmas super-store near Bang Wa BTS. We had a great time and the prices were really good. I paid 700thb for a 4ft / 1.5m tree. she had the best time getting drunk and decorating the tree. 10/10 would do again.
I am attaching a scan of the map/contact details they gave and a picture of my Goodfellas Christmas tree (ordered a topper from Lazada which will arrive this week). Merry Christmas all

The lovely and talented Dr Pavineee Didron at Smile Center Dental Clinic in Phra Khanong did excellent work for me. Super modern equipment (her husband is, or was, head of SE Asian operations for the largest dental supply company in the world so she has the most modern equipment) and good staff. highly recommended.
I know she works from several locations but the clinic i visited was at Taisin Square between Soi 67 and Soi 69 next to the Phra Khanong BTS.

What ever became of the proposed Rama IX Super Tower? i can't even find any information online about the status of project: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rama_IX_Super_Tower

on my first trip to BKK in 2000 the BTS was recently opened. I remember being told repeatedly that it was built "for farang / tourists" because the average Thai could not afford to ride it and the wealthy would continue to drive.

I have a buddy staying at seasonsboutiquehotel.com
He got a great price and it is a great location. Ck it out

The closer to Asoke the better I think. I have a great condo in Phra Khanong and everyday I wish I was just a few BTS stops closer to Thong lo/Nana etc. taxis are great in the evening but during the day BTS is the only way to travel. Traffic makes daytime taxi rides torture.
If you need a hand I know a great Agent to help you find a place. Perfect English and French (and beautiful too).

get a quality room. there are plenty of hotels in easy walking distance with a good bed and AC that is dependable. it's such a buzz-kill to arrive for your holiday and find out you are disappointed with the accommodation
